Navigate the challenging Part 25 of Ark 2! This guide covers Gruga, Shante, Iga's trials, and the tough Gallarno boss fight, plus treasure hunting in Greyshinne.
Alright, let's dive into Part 25. It's a bit of a gauntlet, but we'll get through it together. First up, we've got Gruga and Shante. They might not have the best gear, so focus on physical attacks and let Shante keep everyone topped up with healing magic. Gruga's light magic is super effective against zombies, so use that to your advantage! If you see 'Silent' being cast, use it back to prevent them from debuffing your Speed. The next fight is similar; just watch out for 'Power Loss' attacks and use Silent again if you can.
Next, we'll tackle Iga. There's a fake-out fight with an Iga copy, then a real fight against some zombies. The main event here is in the rightmost room: destroying the illusion machine. Use Iga's Kijinryu-eiha and Senpu-gekishu skills – they're cheap on MP at level 1, so spam 'em! Just make sure Iga's equipment is up to snuff, or he'll be in trouble.
After these individual trials, everyone will regroup in a hallway and then enter a room where you can't turn back. You'll find a corridor with two sets of stairs going up and two going down. Each path leads to a monster fight, and then a specific outcome:
- Upper-Left: Battle #10, leading to a resting point (no saving here, unfortunately).
- Lower-Left: Battle #11, leading to a [Strengthen Fruit].
- Lower-Right: Battle #12, leading to a [Scale Whip].
- Upper-Right: Battle #13, which takes you to the boss fight.
Head to the resting spot first to heal everyone up. This makes it way easier to tackle the other two rooms for treasure. You can spam Lv2 Atrophy Horn or Explosion for some good loot. Remember, you have to fight when entering these rooms, but you can freely exit.
After you clear Battle #13, heal up again and prepare for Battle #14 (Elc can't join this one). Then comes Battle #15 in the NW corner. This one's a big step up – it's six Tosh copies! Your best bet here is to heal up, hope you survive the first turn, and then unload with your strongest area-of-effect magic.
Finally, make your way to the third door – that's the security room.
Boss Fight: Gallarno
Here's the lowdown on the boss encounter:
| Name | Type | HP | MP | Abilities |
| Lv 54 Gallarno | D | 417 | 234 | Double Heat Breath, Hell Burst |
| Lv 52 Gallarno [6] | - | 234 | 214 | None |
| Lv 48 Death Mage [2+] | D | 119 | 149 | Hell Stairs |
For your party, I'd recommend Arc, Poco, Tosh, Lieza/Shante, and Gogen/Iga. Poco's buffs are invaluable here. Gogen can use Lv2 Explosion to weaken Gallarno's parts, and your healer will be busy keeping everyone alive. Lieza is a good choice if you want someone who can also use Search. Arc's Magic Shield and Total Healing are lifesavers, but make sure his starting gear is upgraded!
The boss has multiple 'skin' parts in front of its main head that you need to destroy before you can hit the head with physical attacks. It's a bit of a pain. Using Speed Ocarina can really help speed things up.
Gallarno's Attacks:
- Double Heat Breath: This hits all allies within two spaces and deals about 50 fire damage. It's his main attack when he's not idle.
- Honestly, you can probably ignore the Death Mages. They don't move, their 'Hell Stairs' attack isn't that threatening, and they often just idle.
- If one is defeated, a replacement will be summoned. However, if you can trick them into moving with Confusion, you might be able to stand on their spawn point to prevent new ones from appearing. It's a bit of a niche strategy, but can be funny to pull off.

Romalia Skyport & Greyshinne
After the boss, you'll be heading to Romalia Skyport. Chongara will mention something's happening in Greyshinne, so it's time to wrap up any loose ends here first. You can take on these Wanted Monsters and Jobs:
- Wanted Monster: Gravis [WMGR] - The Heap
- Wanted Monster: Jackal [WMJC] - Houfion
- Job: Catch the Scrap Thief [JB19] - Houfion
- Job: Slay the Nocturnal Monsters [JB20] - Houfion
Head to the skyport, and you'll be flown to Greyshinne.
Greyshinne
Paysus is the only city in Greyshinne, and it's pretty big. The shop has some new items like the Black Card and Shotgun. The inn is upstairs in the NW restaurant. There are no guild jobs right now, but you can hunt these Wanted Monsters:
- Wanted Monster: Kido [WMKD] - Rutar/Noyam Plain, Anan Flats
- Wanted Monster: Bishamon [WMBS] - Rutar/Noyam Plain, Anan Flats
There's not much else in Paysus, aside from a fortune teller who gives some cryptic hints. You'll find various fight locations on the world map, but Amaidar Mountain is off-limits – Iga will block you if you get too close. The Sealed Ruins in the northeast can be opened, but only if you've already taken the power units from all the previous ruins.
Greyshinne Sealed Ruins (Optional)
This place is completely optional and can be tackled later, but I'm listing it now because there are some good items to grab before major story events kick off. The upside to doing it later is that it might be easier on your inventory space.
