Complete Ark 2's Part 55 by tackling the Robber's Revenge, Find Missing Son, Catch Mischievous Boy, and Stop the Terrible Gas Leak jobs. Get tips and strategies!

Alright, let's dive into Part 55 of our Ark 2 adventure! This section covers a few different jobs, so we'll break them down one by one. It looks like we've got some monster clearing, a bit of a search, and a gas leak to deal with. Don't worry, we'll get through it together!

JOB: Robber's Revenge [JB13]

This job is available after you complete 'Protect House from Burglary'. You'll head back to Dex's house and find a party going on. Your main goal here is to defeat all the monsters that show up.

Enemies and Strategy

You'll face a few different types of monsters across four rooms. The enemies you might encounter are:

Enemy Type HP MP Special Skill
Lv 21 Werewolf w 60 30 Expand Range
Lv 21 Doll Master D 61 29 Mind Buster
Lv 21 Kobold E 76 30 Swing
Lv 21 Mad Puppeteer D 55 51 Power Shoot

For the first set of rooms, the guide suggests using Lv2 Power Loss and Lv2 Plasma Shock to take them out efficiently. Once all four rooms are cleared, the job is done. And no, Elc can't just steal the treasure for himself, unfortunately!

When you return to Dex's house for the 'Robber's Revenge' job, you'll encounter Kobolds and Werewolves. The Kobold/Mad Puppeteer enemies appear at the top of the stairs, giving you a chance to use buffs like Speed Up and Strike Power early on. Use the guards' bodies for cover, as your characters' semi-weak armor makes them vulnerable. Skills like Silent and Power Loss are really effective here. Don't forget about Plasma Shock, and keep Shu on the front lines attacking. If a Lv2 skill can hit four or more enemies, go for it!

Merits: 4
Reward: 4000g
Listed: Prodias
Available: Complete 'Protect House from Burglary' job
Best Outcome: Defeat all monsters

JOB: Find Missing Son [JB14]

This job is available when Lieza first arrives in Forles. You'll need to speak with a widow at the comedy club next to the guild. She'll tell you her son is nearby.

Finding the Son

To locate the boy, head to the plateau south of Holn. Go to the east edge of this plateau, and you'll find a small area called 'Forest Edge'. Watch the scenes that play out there, and you'll have completed the job!

Merits: 3
Reward: 1000g
Listed: Ramul
Available: When Lieza first comes to Forles
Best Outcome: Locate son

JOB: Catch Mischievous Boy [JB15]

This is another job available when Lieza first comes to Forles. A distraught woman will ask Lieza to catch her son, who's apparently gone through a rebellious phase and is playing hide-and-seek in Ramul.

The Hide-and-Seek Game

The boy you're looking for wears a red baseball cap and a yellow shirt, making him pretty easy to spot. The key to getting the best reward is to catch him all 8 times without talking to any lookalikes. Here are the locations:

  • Near the inn, in plain sight.
  • Near the guild's street.
  • Near the weapon shop, partially hidden by a tree.
  • Near the inn, by the flowershop lady.
  • Near the newspaper seller, partially hidden by a tree.
  • At the northernmost dead-end street.
  • Standing under some architecture in a house east of the weapon shop.
  • Completely obscured by the tree nearest the weapon shop.

Important: Talking to any lookalikes (anyone else with a red cap and yellow shirt) after the hunt begins will significantly lower your reward to just 375g. So, be careful and only interact with the actual boy!

Merits: 3
Reward: 1500g
Listed: Ramul
Available: When Lieza first comes to Forles
Best Outcome: Catch boy all 8 times + don't talk with any lookalikes

JOB: Stop the Terrible Gas Leak! [JB16]

This job becomes available after you speak with Moris in the Houfion Inn. The client is located at the Heap Cave-In, which is east of Houfion, past the raised train tracks.

Heap Cave-In and Enemies

As you enter the tunnels, you'll find that red gas has spread, reducing your MP each turn. Make sure to bring some Recover Fruits to deal with this!

You'll encounter a couple of tough enemies here:

Enemy Type HP MP Special Skill
Lv 38 Skeleton Knight E 127 51 Charge, Plasma Shock + ???
Lv 38 King Dragon F 131 50 Acid Breath + ???

These monsters can often be fled from, so don't feel pressured if you're not ready for them. At the first fork in the path, take the right route for two screens. You'll find some useful items:

  • WindMask: Lv 2/12, Atk 11/23; Wind-Elemental
  • Smash Pads: Lv 8/12, Atk 15/19
  • Palo's Nut: Lv 1/1, Def 1/1; Increase Agility
  • Power Unit 05: Lv 0/0, Def 0/0, Increase Most Stats; Diekbeck-only

While the weapons aren't used in the Combine Shop, the Power Unit is definitely worth the detour. After grabbing these, backtrack to the first fork and head left. Follow the linear path until you reach a dead-end room. Here, you'll face another monster battle. After defeating it, flip the wall switch to stop the gas leak. Keep in mind that monsters might still be around even after the gas is gone.

Merits: 7
Reward: 3000g
Listed: Houfion
Available: After speaking with Moris in Houfion Inn
Best Outcome: Stop the leak via the wall switch

That wraps up Part 55! You've handled some tricky situations and earned some good rewards. Keep up the great work!
