Follow our walkthrough for Assassin's Creed Origins' "The Book of the Dead" quest. Find Beka's stolen Book of the Dead and return it to his daughter.
Alright, so you're looking to tackle "The Book of the Dead" quest in Assassin's Creed Origins? It's a pretty straightforward one, but let's make sure you get through it without any hiccups. You'll be heading back to the Iment Nome area, so if you've already cleared out the Necropolis Bandit Hideout, this will be a breeze.
Walkthrough
- 1First things first, head to Yamu. Look for a fast travel point, and then make your way north and a bit west from the Temple of Sekhmet. You're looking for a guy named Beka in the market. He's having a bit of a meltdown because some bandits swiped his precious Book of the Dead.
- 2Shortly after Beka starts complaining, his daughter will show up. She's not as hopeful as her dad about getting the book back, but hey, that's where you come in!
- 3Once the chat's done, pull up your map. This quest is going to send you right back to the Iment Nome area, specifically to that Necropolis Bandit Hideout you probably already dealt with.
- 4Good news: since you've cleared it out before, there should be way fewer enemies this time around. Just ride back there, use Senu to mark the bandits (they'll be around levels 6-7) and your objective. Take them out.
- 5After the area is clear, head down into the tomb. You'll need to search the southeastern wall. Keep an eye out, the Book of the Dead is sitting on an urn. Grab it!
- 6Now, with the book in hand, fast travel back to Yamu. Head west from the fast travel point. You're looking for Beka, but you'll actually find his daughter.
- 7Turns out, Beka couldn't hang on until you got back. Tough break. But Bayek's not one to leave a job unfinished, and you're not going to either. Head to the northwestern corner of the temple complex. You'll find Beka's body there.
- 8Once you reunite Beka's body with his Book of the Dead, the quest will be marked as complete.
Tips
- If you've already cleared the Necropolis Bandit Hideout, it'll be much emptier when you return, making the bandit cleanup much quicker.
- Don't forget to use Senu to scout ahead and mark enemies and your objective. It makes things a lot smoother.
