Follow our Assassin's Creed Origins walkthrough to complete The Baker's Dilemma quest. Rescue the baker's taster and find poisoned bread in Memphis.
Walkthrough
- 1Make your way to the northeastern end of Memphis and find Teta, a baker. Talk to her to learn that her taster, Sasobek, has been imprisoned.
- 2Deploy Senu to locate the wagon carrying Sasobek. The driver circles the Corrupted Soldiers Cache point of interest on the island to the southeast.
- 3Avoid picking a fight when the wagon is near the Memphis Barracks. Your goal is to eliminate the driver, break the cage, and rescue Sasobek.
- 4Carry Sasobek back to Teta. He will reveal that guards were bragging about poisoning Taimhotep.
- 5Head south to the Memphis Barracks to find the poisoned pastries.
- 6Before going to the barracks, stop at the Corrupted Soldiers Cache, a small, square-shaped area surrounded by canals.
- 7Inside the Corrupted Soldiers Cache, kill the guards (levels 20-21) and nearby crocodiles. Loot a red chest inside one of the buildings to complete the location objective.
- 8Head west to the Memphis Barracks, a large fortress. Use Senu to locate jars of poisoned bread and tag guards (levels 20-23), the captain (level 24), and the commander (level 25).
- 9Infiltrate the barracks by climbing the walls, targeting corner towers, or by swimming through a submerged cave to a well on the north side.
- 10Be aware of guards on the walls and grounds, and avoid the western end of the fort where a major road is located.
- 11Sabotage the alarm brazier on the eastern end of the roof of the large building on the western side of the fort.
- 12Kill all guards and locate approximately seven jars of poisoned bread, mostly in the large structure on the western end.
- 13Find the two treasures: one in a room along the northern end of the large building on the western side, and another red chest in a building northwest of the southern entrance. Looting the last treasure completes the location objective.
- 14Destroying the last jar of poisoned bread completes the quest.
