Keep an ear out for a farmer who's really worked up about some local "man-beast." Naturally, Bayek's a good guy and will want to hear him out, so chat with the farmer to get the lowdown.

It sounds like this whole "man-beast" thing might just be people looking for someone to blame for natural events, especially when a nearby "maniac" gets pointed out for some deaths. Head south and have a word with this seemingly crazy (and definitely unfriendly) individual. Once you're there, whip out your Animus Pulse to see what's important in the area. You'll want to check out some bloody baskets, scattered limbs by the water, and a couple of broken urns. After that, let Senu scout ahead for you – send him flying upstream to find a cave on the east side of the water.

Now, make your way to the dock nearby and grab a boat. Trust me, you don't want to be swimming in these waters! Sail over to that cave to the east. Here's the catch: you'll have to get in the water to get any further. Swim into the cave and dive down. Look for a passage underwater that leads further east. You'll find a wooden barrier blocking your path – smash it down! This underwater route will eventually lead you to a part of the cave that's a bit drier and clearly lived in.

Inside, you'll have to deal with a level 28 crocodile. After that, climb over a wooden fence and check out the stuff around. It looks like someone's getting a twisted kick out of feeding people to the crocs. Head south to find a caged man. Free him by smashing the cage, and then talk to him. He'll spill the beans, blaming "the Embalmer" for feeding abductees to the crocodiles as entertainment. With this info, Bayek decides it's time to put an end to this gruesome show.

Your next move is to head north, past where people were apparently watching this horror show, and you'll find some couches and what looks like an office. Feel free to read the letters and check out the loot – it'll reveal that the Embalmer is making a killing, advertises pretty openly, and that someone named "Sehetep" is cool with all the blasphemy as long as he gets a cut. Now, turn south, climb up a ladder, and head to the southern part of Krokodilopolis. There's a search area there where you can use Senu to pinpoint the Embalmer.

Here's the tricky part: when you approach the Embalmer, Bayek will, for some reason, announce his intentions, causing the guy to run. The Embalmer has a tough tower shield and a sword-wielding guard with him. He won't get far, though. Take out his guard first, then chase down the Embalmer and assassinate him to wrap up this quest. Turns out, you don't need a mythical beast to create a monster; humans are pretty good at that on their own.
