Shadya's Rest

Alright, so you're looking to wrap up this quest called "Shadya's Rest" in Assassin's Creed Origins. It's a bit of a somber one, dealing with grief and all that. The mission kicks off in Philadelphia, so make your way to Hotephres’s villa. You'll spot it easily – it's the big place near the fast travel point, just northeast of the Philadelphia Royal Granary. Hotephres himself will be up on the balcony, looking pretty glum with some lady. Khenut, his wife, is nowhere to be seen, which tells you a lot about their marriage, right?

After you chat with Hotephres, he'll lead you down to some docks northwest of the villa. That's where you'll find Khenut, hanging out by a shrine dedicated to their daughter, Shadya. Hotephres is clearly struggling with Shadya's death, and since there are no enemies around for him to take his anger out on, he's just kind of… spiraling. Bayek, on the other hand, is going to handle things a bit differently.

When you get to Shadya, you'll see she's also grieving, just in her own way. Bayek, instead of calling her out like he did her dad, decides to go along with it. He'll perform a Siwan ritual, which basically means he needs to go find a heron feather. Honestly, it feels like Bayek just needed an excuse to get away for a bit. If you happen to have a dead heron already in your inventory, you're golden and can skip ahead. If not, no worries! There are usually herons chilling in the water nearby. Just head up the coast to the northeast, and you'll find some birds floating around. Take one down, grab its feather, and you're good to go.

Once you've got the heron feather, head back to Khenut. She'll be there when you return, and you'll witness some injustice unfolding. Even though that big bad The Crocodile is gone, the farmers are still getting squeezed. This whole situation seems to give Khenut a bit of a jolt, and she finds a new purpose, or maybe just doubles down on an old one that's still unresolved.

Khenut manages to scare off the captain for now, but this isn't over. It looks like there might be some payback coming. Your next job is to track down that captain. He's patrolling around Philadelphia with two of his buddies, who are pretty annoying with their daggers. Stick close behind them and eavesdrop on their conversation – it'll confirm they totally deserve what's coming. Then, take them all down. Make sure you confirm the kill on the captain to get a Fort Insignia. It seems like someone else has stepped up to fill the power vacuum left by The Crocodile, and they're giving the same orders. Maybe Hotephres knows something about this?

After that, head back to Hotephres, who's hanging out near Shadya's shrine again. Chat with both him and Khenut. They'll fill you in on the new threat: it's coming from the commander at Fort Boubastos, located southeast in Haueris Nome. But before Bayek goes off to deal with this new enemy, there's still that unfinished business with the heron feather. And that, my friend, is how you finish "Shadya's Rest" and kick off the next quest, "Fighting for Faiyum".
