Walkthrough

    To find the Makino Kurumazuka Kofun, head to the north of the Yawata Plains sub-region in Izumi Settsu, on the eastern side of the river, directly east of Takatsuki Castle.

    The entrance is blocked by debris. Near the stairs outside, find an explosive jar. Carry it (as Yasuke) and place it in front of the debris, then detonate it to create an entrance.

    Follow the stairs down and loot the first chest for gear.

    Proceed south, avoiding the eastern path which is blocked. Interact with a large wooden box and push it forward to access the next room.

    In the subsequent large room, pull a large wooden box located to the south towards you to enter the room behind it.

    Follow the path to another large room. Here, you'll find explosive jars. Pick one up and blow away the rubble to the east, returning to the previous room.

    At an intersection, take the left path first to find a materials chest, then return and take the other path.

    The path leads to a pool of water. Jump in and follow it to the other side.

    In the larger room, break the boxes to your right to find explosive jars. Take one, throw it across the gap, and detonate it to clear the rubble.

    Follow the path. When attempting to cross a rope, you will fall into the room below.

    Go down the path to the east to find another large wooden box. Move this box back to the large room and push it against the northern wall. Loot the gear chest behind this box before proceeding.

    Follow the stairs up into the next room. Here, you'll find two movable wooden boxes.

    Pull the wooden box in the southern entryway out towards you to access the passage behind it. Move the other box out of the way.

    Move the first wooden box (which was blocking the passage) along to the western wall.

    Enter the passageway and follow the path to find more wooden boxes. Pull these out to access the previous room.

    Return to the previous room, grab an explosive jar, and toss it to the ledge on the western wall where rubble blocks a passage. Detonate it.

    Climb the wooden box you moved earlier and jump to the passage on the western wall.

    Follow the final winding path to reach a large room containing the Legendary Chest.

  • You need to unlock character swapping and play as Yasuke for this Kofun. This occurs after completing the first two main assassinations and the quest chain starting with "Friend of My Enemy."
  • It is recommended to have a ranged weapon for Yasuke (Bow or Teppo) to detonate explosive jars from a distance, though you can also strike them with a Katana. Ensure you have Rations if using the Katana method.
