Complete Assassin's Creed Shadows walkthrough for the Yaya: The Stray Dogs side quest. Learn how to start the quest, find Yaya, make key choices, and retrieve the Kanzashi.
Walkthrough
- 1After completing the prologue of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and defeating The Wounded assassination target, you will have met Yaya. Ensure you choose “Killing them isn’t justice” to gain her approval.
- 2Following the Heads Will Roll quest, select The Stray Dogs side quest from The League section of the Objectives Board.
- 3Fast travel to the Kakurega in Sakai or head southwest from the Osaka Castle Viewpoint to reach Osaka.
- 4Locate Yaya in a side street near the Temple of Osaka, engaged in a fight with Shrine Raiders. Assist her in defeating them.
- 5After the ensuing scene, you will be presented with a choice: “We forgive him” or “We punish him”. Choose “We forgive him” to align with Yaya’s beliefs and potentially recruit her later.
- 6Follow Yaya to learn the location of the Kanzashi.
- 7Travel to the Church of Takatsuki in northern Izumi Settsu, located within the Takatsuki sub-region near the Yamashiro region entrance. Use a Scout to mark it if needed.
- 8Enter the large white building on the east side of the Church of Takatsuki to find Tetsuo.
- 9Speak with Tetsuo, then chase him as he flees. He will run into Yaya, triggering another scene.
- 10Yaya will ask what to do with Tetsuo. To recruit Yaya as an ally, choose “You need to forgive each other.”
- 11You will then have the option to ask Yaya to join you as an ally, which she will accept if you made the previous forgiveness choices.
- 12The Stray Dogs quest concludes, granting 1,000 XP and potentially Yaya as your first ally. If recruited, visit The Hideout and build The Dojo to train her.
