Follow the Inside Help walkthrough for Assassin's Creed Shadows. Find Kiyomizudera Temple, locate Ujimasa, and start the Twisted Tree quest to track down rogue samurai.
Walkthrough
- 1To begin, locate Kiyomizudera Temple in the southwestern Hills of Meeting sub-region, east of Kyoto and north of Ogura Pond. It's easiest to reach from Honnoji Temple in Kyoto.
- 2From Honnoji Temple, head east on the map and cross two bridges with a small island between them. The stairs to Kiyomizudera Temple will be directly ahead.
- 3Go to the southeastern, lower area of the temple to find Ujimasa.
- 4Speak with Ujimasa. He will give you a choice, but your selection does not affect the outcome. He will then ask you to deal with rogue samurai harassing people near Kyoto and direct you to a merchant.
- 5This starts the Twisted Tree quest, placing two targets on your Objective Board. To find the rest, head north of Honnoji Temple towards Nijo Palace.
- 6Do not enter Nijo Palace. Instead, circle around to the west of the castle and use Observe. Look for a blue dot indicating a cart; this is the merchant.
- 7Speak with the merchant to learn more about the Twisted Tree and reveal the remaining targets on your board.
- 8After dealing with the targets, return to Ujimasa at Kiyomizudera Temple to receive a key and complete the quest.
Tips
- You do not need to kill all seven members of the Twisted Tree. Both Goro and Ichi-hime can be spared without losing rewards.
- You can either go to the individual locations of targets and use Observe to approach them for an option, or kill Inoshichi. Killing the father will automatically spare Goro and Ichi-hime, even if you haven't met them.
- The other four children can be dealt with individually.
- Alternatively, if you assassinate/kill the father first, the four children will gather at his location. This can lead to a difficult battle as they will likely stay together.
- The father is the most challenging target, located in a restricted area with many guards. It is recommended to eliminate the guards first to avoid detection.
