Defensive Position

Alright, so you're heading into Osaka Castle for the 'Defensive Position' mission in Assassin's Creed Shadows. This place is a bit of a maze, and the guards are on high alert, so we need to be smart about this. The main goal here is to find and deal with Wakasa, who's chilling in the southern part of the castle. Don't get too distracted by the loot – we'll grab that later. Focus on Wakasa first!

Finding Wakasa:

Wakasa is located in the southern section of Osaka Castle, just north of the Upper Construction Site. You'll see a big moat around the castle; use that to get closer to the construction area. There's some wooden scaffolding you can climb, but be super careful. The guards below and in the construction zone can spot you easily, so keep your head down.

Infiltration Strategy:

Your best bet here is stealth. Naoe's Eagle Eye is your best friend. Use it to tag all the enemies around and inside the structure. The key is to take them out one by one, starting from the bottom and working your way up. This way, you can isolate enemies and deal with them without raising an alarm. Wakasa is waiting for you at the top of the structure.

Assassinating Wakasa:

Now, about Wakasa herself. She's got three health bars, which means if you don't have the assassination upgrade from the Assassin skill tree, you'll only take out two bars and have to fight her the old-fashioned way. Fighting her head-on can be tough because she loves her combo attacks (look for the blue glints). You'll need to block or parry these perfectly before she becomes vulnerable. She has a couple of basic combos, each with four attacks, and one of them ends with an unblockable strike, so you'll need to dodge that one.

The Stealthy Takedown:

If you *do* have that assassination upgrade, you can take her out in one go. If you approach from the rooftops, there's usually one other guard on her level. Take him out quietly first, then sneak up behind Wakasa for a swift end. Alternatively, you can use the beams on the upper level to get above her and perform a drop-down assassination. Honestly, if you go the stealth route, she's not that difficult.

Once Wakasa is down, you'll get some sweet loot: the Shinobi’s Fury legendary tanto, 2,000 XP, and 2 Mastery Points. Plus, you'll unlock the 'Tea Bowls for Rikyu' side quest in the Yamashiro region. Nice!
