Hide Gear

Learn how to customize and hide your gear in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Make your character look exactly how you want without affecting their stats.

Alright, so you've been playing Assassin's Creed Shadows and you've figured out how to build a Forge. That's awesome! Now, let's talk about making your character look exactly how you want them to. Head into your menu and go to the "Inventory" tab. You should see a tutorial pop up about customizing your gear. It's pretty straightforward!

Basically, you select a piece of gear, and then press the / button. This will bring up a list of all the different weapons and armor pieces you've collected. The more gear you find or buy, the more options you'll have for changing your look. The best part? Customizing your gear costs absolutely nothing, you can change it back anytime, and it won't mess with your gear's stats at all. So go wild!

Now, what if you want your character to go completely incognito, like maybe you don't want to see that helmet or any armor at all? No problem! Just select the piece of gear you don't want to see, and press the / button. Keep in mind, you can't hide your equipped weapons, but you can definitely hide your armor pieces. This way, you can keep your protagonist's face and head uncovered if that's your vibe.

Between these options, you can really tweak your character's appearance to your liking. While you can't change colors or patterns directly, having these transmog and hiding options is a pretty sweet deal. It's definitely better than nothing, right?
