Oni-yuri

Follow our guide to complete the Oni-yuri quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows. Learn where to find the poisoned food and make the right dialogue choices to progress.

Alright, so you've reached Act 2 and unlocked Yasuke, which means it's time to head north to the Wakasa region for the 'Oni-yuri' quest. Just a heads-up, the enemies up there are around level 28-29, so make sure you're feeling ready before you make the trek. You'll be heading to the northernmost part of Wakasa, specifically the Sotomo Gate sub-region.

Keep an eye out for a town called Tsuruga – that's your destination. Once you're in the northern part of the area, look for the Tsuruga Sea Port. The quest itself kicks off just east of there. You'll know you're in the right spot if you see a crowd gathered. Go chat with them, and you'll learn that some folks are feeling pretty sick after eating food from Oni-yuri. The guy who hired you suspects she poisoned them and wants her punished.

During this initial chat, you'll get a dialogue choice. To keep things smooth, pick 'There is no evidence'. After some more back-and-forth, you'll get the chance to investigate and see if Oni-yuri really did poison those men.

Sweet Lies - Find the poisoned food

Now, your main goal is to track down that poisoned food, and thankfully, it's not far. As soon as you get control back, head east down the road. Use your Observe ability – you're looking for a group of four blue dots. That's where you'll find the food you need to examine.

The first item is in the front building. Then, head to the building in the back – you'll find two more objects to examine there. For the last one, exit the back building through the rear door, and it'll be right outside.

Once you've checked out all four items, head back to where you first met Oni-yuri. When you're given another choice, select 'There is still no evidence'. This will wrap up this quest nicely and set you up for the next one, called 'Sweet Revenge'.
