The Bad Brother Walkthrough: The Fool

Alright, let's get this 'The Fool' quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows sorted. This part is all about tracking down a guy named Ise Sadatame, who's chilling at Byodoin Temple. Don't worry, it's not too far off the beaten path.

Where to Find Byodoin Temple:

The game hints that Ise Sadatame is in the Yamashiro Region, north of Izumi Settsu. To get even more specific, he's hanging out in the northern part of the Ogura Pond sub-region, right at Byodoin Temple. If you haven't stumbled upon this place yet, it's pretty straightforward to reach. It's located in the southern part of Yamashiro, not too far from the northern edge of Izumi Settsu. You should already have the Amagasaki region unlocked, so head there and then make your way northeast towards the Takatsuki sub-region. From there, just follow the road that skirts the Kakurega to the north, sticking close to the coastline. You'll enter the Yamashiro Region before you know it. Keep following that coastline until you reach Oyamazaki Village. Once you're there, simply cross the river to the east to get to Ogura Pond. You'll see Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine straight ahead. Find the road leading up to it, follow it east, and then northeast. This should lead you right to Byodoin Temple, or at least close enough that you'll spot that helpful question mark on your map.

Quick Note on Oyamazaki Village:

Just so you know, Oyamazaki Village is situated just north of Takatsumi, within the Izumi Settsu region.

Meet Ise Sadatame:

Byodoin Temple itself has some Lost Pages, but we're not focusing on those right now. If you're hunting for them, there's a separate guide for that. Your main objective here is to find and speak with Ise Sadatame. He's not too far from the entrance you probably used to get into the temple grounds. Look for him sitting down in front of a building on the southern side of the temple area. Approach him, and you'll see a map marker appear above his head. Just chat with Sadatame, and he'll start talking about his brother, Ise Sadaoki. That's pretty much the whole mission! You'll get a choice during the conversation about what you think of his brother, but honestly, either option won't change anything significant. This conversation will kick off two new missions: 'Missing Missive' and 'Inside Help'. You'll need to complete both of those to unlock the final quest in this chain.
