The Fatherless Monk: The Wounded

So, you're looking for Kyonyo, huh? This quest, 'The Fatherless Monk: The Wounded,' kicks off automatically during 'From Spark to Flame' once you get access to your Hideout and the Objective Board. Basically, Naoe needs to find one of her father's killers, and word is this monk, Kyonyo, might know something. Your first move is to head to Gansenji Temple, as that's where he's supposedly hanging out.

Finding Gansenji Temple:

If you've already visited Sakai for 'The Golden Teppo' quest, you're in luck – Gansenji Temple isn't too far. Just head south from Sakai, cross the bridge, and keep going south, veering slightly east. You'll spot the temple entrance. As you get close, Naoe will pick up on some commotion, signaling that it's time to investigate.

Helping the Monks:

Turns out, the monks are in a bit of a scrap with some samurai. Your job here is pretty straightforward: help them out. All the enemies are marked, so no need to hunt around. Most of them will be busy with the monks, giving you a perfect opening to sneak up and start slicing with your katana. Be ready to block or parry if they turn their attention to you. Once all the samurai are dealt with, find Kyonyo and have a chat.

During your conversation with Kyonyo, you'll learn that 'The Wounded' is actually named Wada Koretake. Don't sweat the dialogue choices here – they don't impact anything. After you're done talking, two new quests will pop up: 'The Killing Field' and 'Stolen Faith.' You'll need to complete both to unlock the final quest in this chain, but you can tackle them in any order you prefer.
