Need maggots for Matsu's granddaughter in Assassin's Creed Shadows? Follow our guide to find the Akame Shi Waterfalls and the dead animal teeming with maggots.

Alright, so Matsu needs some maggots for his granddaughter, and he's given you a bit of a riddle. He says to look for something dead near the water, but thankfully, the quest clues are a bit more specific. We're heading to the southern part of the Nabari Wilds, south of the Hinotani Shrine.

The key is to get to the top of a waterfall. The easiest way to do this is to find the river south of the Hinotani Shrine and follow it east/south. You'll soon stumble upon the Akame Shi Waterfalls – that's our destination.

Now, climbing these waterfalls might seem a bit tricky, but don't worry. For the first big waterfall, use the rocks on the eastern side to get up. When you reach the second, larger waterfall, you'll spot a blue dot at the very top. Again, the rocks on the eastern side are your best bet for scaling this cliff. Once you get to the top, you can take a breather. You might notice that blue dot, but don't go there just yet. A little further south, you'll find the Path of Shadows, which is one of Naoe's exclusive side activities. If you want to check that out, go for it!

Once you're done exploring or if you want to get straight to the quest, head back to that blue dot. You'll find a dead animal there, absolutely crawling with maggots. Grab what you need, then head back to Matsu's cabin. Talking to him will wrap up this quest and kick off the final one, 'Shadows and Light.'
