Walkthrough

    No Place for Happy Endings (NEW OBJECTIVE): Talk to Thoma in Flandern. Head to a house in Rockbottom on the eastern side of the city. After some scenes, Thoma will join the Crimson Wings, initiating the side quest to take down Robb's father.

    No Place for Happy Endings (NEW OBJECTIVE): Storm Ryrmeier Castle and find Gustaf. Enter the NORTHWEST corner of the Kortara Mountain Range. Thoma will distract the castle forces with his Sky Armors, allowing entry into "Rymeier Castle".

    Ryrmeier Castle Navigation:
    • Upon entering, fight "Flandern Soldier" and "Flandern Mage". Kill the mage first.

    Go LEFT to find a chest with a [_DEVIL HEAD_] on a cliff.

    Head back and go up the bridge. Check the RIGHT SIDE after the bridge for a pathway to a chest containing a [_SILVER BOLERO_].

    Go up the bridge. Enter the first door on the left. Follow the path to the battlements, through a guard tower, to a chest with [_TITAN LEATHER x3_]. Return.

    Go up the pathway by this door to another door. Enter and kill the four enemies in the small outside area.

    Head up the ladder behind the enemies. Ignore the door leading into the Castle. Head right and follow the path, dropping off to the side. To the northeast, find a chest with a [_SOUL OF FARN; ES_].

    Descend into a cave to return to the main "castle courtyard".

    Enter the door to the southeast. Kill the four enemies to the north. Go RIGHT to find a door to the south with a chest containing [_ADAMANTITE_].

    Head back inside, go left, and up to a central room. Exit south, right, and up to the roof of a house. Climb the ladder, follow the path, jump a gap, and go left for a chest with the [_RHONGOMIANT_] (weapon for Egyl). Fall back to the courtyard.

    Take the only remaining path to trigger scenes with Gustaf and his father.

    Thoma Fight: After the scenes, you will fight Thoma and a bandit. Thoma is strong against Fire and weak against Earth. Target and hit bombs thrown by enemies back at them. Keep healed and buffed.

    Quest Completion: After the fight, enjoy the dialog. Robb shows his growth, and his house is no more. The side quest concludes. You will receive a [_GRIMOIRE SHARD_] and the [_RUSTY BOW_] (for Robb's ultimate weapon).

    Trophy: Completing this side quest may award the "Side Tracker" Silver Trophy for finishing all side quests.

Forgotten Treasure:

  • If you missed a chest in the Fiorwoods, go to Tormund and take the east exit to an upper area. To the right, find a chest with [_YAK GRASS FIBER x2_].

Unique Monster Hunting:

  • Arthros: In Fiorwoods, spawn and kill Ekskalibur (by running clockwise around the center trees). Do not warp. Make your way to the left portion of the map to the upper walkways. Go to the lower-left corner to find the "Arthros" Unique Monster.
