Navigate the final stages of Chained Together, including the challenging boss fights against Labrodia-Dervinas and Alfreed Amalgamation, and claim your rewards.
At this point, we're going to go finish the game, which pretty much just means taking on the end game bosses now. To do so, warp back to the Nhysa Magic Academy warp point and continue down the stairs, entering the central area.
Head north and talk to June on the way. Just past her are the ending scenes of the game. We'll have some scenes with Gwayn and Kylian as you would imagine. There's some truly crazy scenes here though, so sit back and enjoy. It will be something else for sure!
And as you would expect, we have a boss fight here. I wouldn't have seen this coming for sure, but get ready!
BOSS ENCOUNTER: LABRODIA-DERVINAS
Well, this is a fight for sure! I definitely didn't see things panning out this way... Labrodia-Dervinas will be a battle in our Sky Armors, and as you'll see, the boss will immediately use "Act Thrice" to make this a fight worth talking about (it'd just be sad otherwise). Even then though, he is listed as a "Human" and is strong against water and weak to fire. Sounds about right!
The biggest thing about this fight has to be his "Change of Plans" move. This will either put him in an offensive mode (offensive tactics) of defensive mode (defensive tactics). He starts out in an offensive mode, but with all of our preparation, honestly, when he had his first move against me he changed to defensive pretty quick! Kind-of funny! Still, you should know that his offensive moves include attacking a single enemy (which will be around 1,000 damage to someone) and an "Ultimate Strike" which we'll get to in a second. He can also use an attack called "Hopeless Strike" which can outright kill someone (although I never saw this in my fight). His defensive move includes healing himself, which restores around 5,000-6,000 HP or so.
With how many attacks he can get in a turn, Labrodia-Dervinas is going to push the needle to the right quite a bit, so be sure to stay in Gear Two as much as you can to counter this. When you do see his "Ultimate Strike" you'll also see that he has to prepare the attack for a couple turns. This is of course your chance to get into Gear 0 and defend (preferably after healing up of course). This will let you tank the attack effectively. You can expect him to do around 1,800 damage to the entire party with this attack, and around half of that (maybe up to 1,000) if you're defending. So not bad at all, and someone should be able to heal the party to full.
I honestly didn't find this fight to be that hard, given that his "Change of Plans" often took up his turn and left my team with a lot of time to attack and apply status effects. You can use Command Attack / Defence and break him to help, and things like poison/blind/inact also work on this fight which makes the entire fight considerably easier. Someone should be using "Fire Strike" the entire time as well. Unless he does happen to instant-kill someone, that's the plan (and even then, you can use items or spells to get your teammate back fairly easily). Just be sure to go to Gear 0 with most of your party for that Ultimate Strike and you should be fine. As a bonus, we also gain a [_GRIMOIRE SHARD_] when we finish this fight. It won't help you out much for now of course, but soon! Don't worry!
After that boss fight we will get more scenes of course. Enjoy! You basically will move immediately into a new boss fight though, so let's go over what you can expect!
BOSS ENCOUNTER: ALFREED AMALGAMATION
Well, this is a boss. There's no real name for the "entire monster" here, but Alfreed is definitely the focal point. He has his companions with him too, as you can see. Kylian idolized Alfreed and his power, so the implications of this being a boss are very cool indeed. Plus, we are out of our Sky Armors in a proper fight, so BK is excited about that!
OK, so this fight is really one against four enemies. Four enemy parts. We have the "Tank", the "Healer", the "Magician" and Alfreed himself. I probably don't need to tell you who our main target is, do I? The Healer is the squishiest and only provides support. We're going to ta
