Learn how to beat the Randomage boss in Chained Together! Get tips on its spells, summons, and how to handle its multiple phases to claim your Grimoire Shard.

Alright, let's talk about Part 114! This section is all about taking down a pretty unique boss called the Randomage. He's this cool Red Mage Weasel-looking dude who's all about cards and spells. He's an 'Undead' type, so he's weak to Light and strong against Dark. Oh, and he gets to 'Act Twice' right off the bat, which is pretty fair for a boss like this.

This fight is definitely a spell-slinging showdown. You'll want to stack up any buffs that help with magic damage because Randomage's spells can hit the whole party for about 100-140 damage. The damage can vary depending on your buffs, so keep those handy! He also has an 'Enchanted Combo' where he'll rapier you multiple times, dealing around 140-150 damage total. If he hits you with both his magic and this combo back-to-back, someone with only 300 HP is definitely in trouble.

Now, here's where things get weird: Randomage can open a rift and summon some dolls! You'll see a 'Hana Doll', a 'Coffee Doll', and a 'Cucumber Barrel Doll'. Honestly, the only one you need to worry about is the Hana Doll. You absolutely have to take it out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If that doll gets a turn, it can wipe your entire party. Your best bet is to focus all your attacks on it, then use your area-of-effect (AoE) moves on everyone else. A good combo is Sienna focusing on the doll while Mikah hits the whole group.

Here's another HUGE tip: try to SILENCE and PARALYZE him! This will give you a much-needed break from the constant damage. Raphael's ultimate skill can also give you magic resistance for two rounds, which is super helpful.

Things get even stranger after you deal with the summons. The Randomage will likely just... flee. Don't get too comfortable, though! You'll need to head to the right and fight him again. The same tips about magic buffs and debuffs still apply, but this time he'll mess with your Overdrive Bar. He's got 'Twisting Wind' to scramble it and 'Twisting Nebula' to hide it completely. So yeah, get ready for a fun juggling act!

Honestly, besides that, it's a pretty fun fight and not too difficult. After you deal enough damage, he'll try to run again but fail. This nets you a [_GRIMOIRE SHARD_], which is awesome! Another boss down!

Once he's defeated, head back through the magic door. You can then explore south to find the [_EARTH TABLET_] on a pedestal. With that, you should have all the tablets! If you're not following this guide, you can always CTRL + F to find them, or check the appendix if I've added one.

Now, it's time to use those tablets! Open your map and head to the Organe Grotto. See that Fast Travel Crystal near the middle on the left? Teleport there. Walk upwards, and you'll be able to place all the tablets. This, of course, will spawn the game's super boss. Make sure you save and get yourself ready!

This is the perfect time to grab all the Ultimate Weapons, spend your skill points, and get the best gear you can. You know the drill!

And as always, ol' BK has a strategy for the super boss, God King Gaemdriel. He's listed as 'Undead' with no specific strengths or weaknesses. You can steal an 'Adamantium Nugget' from him, but it's not really worth the effort. The biggest caveat for this fight is having someone who can remove boss buffs, especially Gaemdriel's 'HP REGEN'. Lenne with her 'Cleanse' ability is perfect for this. He also gets to act THRICE, so be prepared!
