    The game introduces the Overdrive battle system. Key mechanics include:

Boss Fight: Wywyan

This is the game's first boss fight, designed for you to practice the Overdrive System. Focus on staying in the green area of the Overdrive Bar.

  • Strategy: Use the DEFEND action and healing items liberally. Kylian's "Helping Hand" skill is useful for healing. "Motivating Words" and "Armor Break" are good skills to use or re-apply. Hyne's poison attacks are effective as Wywyan is weak to them. Use skills that help maintain your position in the green Overdrive zone.
  • Wywyan's Attacks: He uses regular melee attacks dealing 25-30 damage. He can also increase his defense. When low on health, he attacks all party members for around 30 damage.
  • Winning: Keep your HP above 40. Use hard-hitting skills, especially Marlocks. With healing items, Kylian's heal, and your party advantage, this fight is manageable.
