Your guide to recruiting allies in Chained Together, covering Part 66. Learn how to find and recruit Triony, Kayn, Bob, Linus, and Murchand to your clan.

Alright, welcome back! We're kicking off Act 3, and you'll find yourself back at your base. First things first, head up to the usual spot on the upper right to chat with Victor and Ba'Thraz. They've got some explaining to do about "Echoes," and then the whole crew will get together to discuss heading to "Shambala." Yep, looks like that's our next big destination!

Your main objective will update to something like: Mysterious Girl 2 (NEW OBJECTIVE): Solve the trials.

But hold up! Before we jump into the main quest, there are a bunch of optional things you can tackle that will make your journey a lot smoother. We're talking about recruiting a whole bunch of new allies! The base fortune-teller can give you hints for 1,000a each, but honestly, you can skip that and just follow along here. We're going to find and complete THREE side quests in this section:

  • The Gates to Nhysa
  • For the Love of Food
  • Into the Maelstrom

Let's get to recruiting! Here are some hints for finding Falora's recruits:

  • A fisherman in Farnsport seems unhappy with his catch.
  • Why is this man sitting in the rain in Tormund?
  • A merchant is unhappy, but in a village that isn't Basil, Rockbottom, or Iden.
  • Someone's up in the sky on a lonely island.
  • A wounded heart beats strongly in Farnsport.
  • Your destiny is tied to a dog running untied through Tormund's downtown.
  • Is it a bird? A Hyom? It's high up in Shambala.

Keep in mind, two of these recruits are in Shambala, so we'll grab them later. For now, let's get the ones we can!

Triony the Fisherman

You'll find Triony in Farnsport, specifically in the southeast slums area known as the "docks." He's got a unique look and is busy fishing, so he's pretty hard to miss. When you chat with him, pick the MIDDLE CHOICE, and he'll join your clan without any fuss. He'll hang out with the other fisherman back at base, and while he rewards you later, he's a solid addition for now!

TRIONY JOINS THE CLAN! (12/23)

Kayn the Helmsman

Our next recruit is also in Farnsport, and he's even easier to find. Head northwest from the fast travel crystal, towards the gate. You'll automatically trigger a scene where you meet Kayn. After seeing the aftermath of war, he'll decide to join you. With Kayn, you can purchase "new airships" on the Hooge, though the game points out they don't actually do much and are quite expensive. It's probably best to skip them for now.

KAYN JOINS THE CLAN! (13/23)

Bob the Construction Worker

Now, let's head to Tormund, the City of Rain. Once you arrive, make your way to the left side of the city, near the fences and graveyard. Bob is standing in the center of this area. He'll practically beg you to join the clan. He's a builder, and we definitely need his skills to help improve the base!

BOB JOINS THE CLAN! (14/23)

Linus the Good Boy

Next up is a dog! Yes, Linus is also in Tormund. Remember the Underground Area with all the markets? Head down there and look for him running around. He's not too hard to spot. Talk to him, and he'll join the clan. What does he do? Well, he mostly just sits by Eddie and makes random sound effects when you talk to him. It's a bit quirky, but hey, he's part of the crew now!

LINUS JOINS THE CLAN! (15/23)

Murchand the Merchant

Finally, for this section, we have a merchant. Murchand is located in Flandern, the city where we started Act II. Remember the path west of the city leading to the mansion? Head that way, and you'll find a Hammerhead Shark hanging out on the path. Talk to him, and he'll tell you his problems. When prompted, tell him he should "Change things up."
