Master the final boss of Chained Together! Learn Vaen's attacks, weaknesses, and the Kylian intermission gimmick to secure victory.

Alright, we're at the big one – the true final boss of the game, Vaen! This fight is a real spectacle, with Vaen fused with Kylian, but don't let the creepy visuals fool you. There's a cool gimmick here: Kylian's still in control mentally and will actually intervene during the fight. You'll see "Intermissions" pop up, and while things might look grim, know that Kylian is trying to counteract Vaen's moves. He's a Plant type, so he's strong against Light magic but weak to Dark magic. Let's break down what he throws at you.

Vaen's Attacks:

• Bing Bang: This one can drop your whole party to 1 HP, so be ready to heal up immediately after.
• Regular Attack: Hits a random party member three times, dealing about 50 damage per hit. It can hit the same person multiple times.
• Vaen Duplicate: This creates a copy of Vaen right behind you. This duplicate has its own health bar, and you absolutely need to focus it down. If you don't, the original Vaen gets a massive boost to magic and physical resistance.
• You Shall Be As Gods: This buffs Vaen in every stat. If you've been using "All Break" like I recommended, you'll essentially just cancel this out.
• Drain TP: This drains all your TP. Don't worry too much, though, as there's an intermission event later where you'll get it back.
• Act Twice: You've seen this before – Vaen gets to act twice in a row.
• Nirvana: This hits the whole party for 40-60 damage.
• Barrier Switch: Vaen switches between having magic and physical resistance. Pay attention to which one he's currently using so you can focus your attacks accordingly.
• End of the World: This is Vaen's most dangerous move, as it will wipe out your entire party. The good news? It's tied to an intermission event, so you won't have to deal with it directly.

Strategy:

• Start by using Victor to buff your party and get some regen going.
• Follow up with someone to boost party agility.
• Having a healer who can hit the whole party is super useful here.
• Don't forget status effects! Glenn's "All Break" is a must-have to counter his buffs.
• Once your buffs and debuffs are set, go all out with your strongest attacks. Lenne and Mikah are fantastic damage dealers for this fight.
• I personally found Glenn's "Restrain" move very effective, but that might just be Overdrive Bar luck.
• The key is to stay healed and keep the pressure on. You've got this!

Unlike the previous boss, you won't get a Grimoire Shard from this fight, but you'll have conquered the final challenge!
