All Activities in the Fractured Peaks

Discover all activities in Diablo IV's Fractured Peaks region. Find towns, strongholds, dungeons, side quests, and Altars of Lilith to maximize your Renown and rewards.

The Fractured Peaks, the primary region in Diablo IV's Open Beta, is a vast, snowy mountain landscape filled with secrets. After completing the prologue, players can freely explore, choosing to follow the main story, engage in sidequests found in towns, delve into dungeons for loot, or challenge the world boss Ashava.

It's highly recommended to seek out the numerous Waypoints scattered across the region for easier teleportation and access to events. Each of the six initial towns has a Waypoint, with an additional one becoming available after cleansing the Nostrava Stronghold.

Towns in the Fractured Peaks

Towns serve as safe zones offering vendors, side quests, and Waypoints. The initial six towns and their approximate locations are:

• Nevesk: Desolate Highlands - Southwest
• Kyovashad: Desolate Highlands - Northeast
• Margrave: Dobrev Taiga - Southwest
• Yelesna: Galle Valley - Southwest
• Menestad: Sarkova Pass - West
• Bear Tribe Refuge: Seat of the Heavens - Northwest

Nostrava, a Stronghold located north of Nevesk, also becomes a town with a Waypoint after being cleared.

Strongholds in the Fractured Peaks

Strongholds are areas overrun by demons that players must liberate. Completing them grants a significant Renown boost and unlocks new dungeons, quests, vendors, and sometimes new towns with Waypoints. The three Strongholds in Fractured Peaks are:

• Malnok: Level 10, located east of Kyovashad. Unlocks Vendors and two Dungeons.
• Nostrava: Level 12, located north of Nevesk. Becomes a Town with a Waypoint, Altar of Lilith, and a Dungeon.
• Kor Dragan: Level 20, located north of Kyovashad. Becomes a location for a World Event.

Dungeons, Side Quests, and Altars of Lilith

Dungeons are a major activity offering Renown, the chance to unlock Legendary Aspects (which can be applied to Rare gear or higher), and opportunities for higher rarity loot from Elite enemies.

Side Quests are another key method for gaining Renown, Experience, and Gold. Some side quests become available after clearing Strongholds.

Altars of Lilith are scattered throughout the Fractured Peaks, and interacting with them provides a permanent stat increase for all characters on your account, along with Renown. These are vital to find in every region.

Ashava World Boss

The world boss Ashava can be challenged by any player on the server. Information on her tactics and spawn times can be found on dedicated pages. Ashava is only available at specific times during the Beta weekends.
