Where to Get Malignant Rings

Find Malignant Rings in diablo iv. Learn which bosses drop them and the stats they offer, including Airidah's Inexorable Will and Tal Rasha's Iridescent Loop.

Malignant Rings are a new addition to diablo iv, offering potent effects that were previously found on Malignant Hearts. There are five unique Malignant Rings, one for each class. These rings have guaranteed stats, but the numerical ranges can vary.

Malignant Rings and their Effects:

• Airidah’s Inexorable Will (Druid): Stats include Willpower, Damage to Close Enemies, Lucky Hit Chance, and Ultimate Skill Cooldown Reduction. Unique Effect: When casting an Ultimate Skill and again 5 seconds after, Pull in Distant enemies and deal 0.5-1.0 Physical damage to them. This damage is increased by 1% per 1 point of Willpower you have.
• Ring of Red Furor (Barbarian): Stats include Strength, Attack Speed, Maximum Fury, and Resource Generation. Unique Effect: After spending 100 Fury within 3 seconds, your next cast of Hammer of the Ancients, Upheaval, or Death Blow is a guaranteed Critical Strike and deals 10—30% bonus Critical Strike Damage.
• Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul (Necromancer): Stats include Lucky Hit Chance, Maximum Life, Maximum Essence, and Ranks of All Corpse Skills. Unique Effect: Automatically activate the following equipped Skills on Corpses around you: Raise Skeleton every 1-2 seconds, Corpse Explosion every 1-2 seconds, Corpse Tendrils every 8-16 seconds.
• Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop (Sorcerer): Stats include Non-Physical Damage, Lucky Hit Chance, Resource Generation, and Cooldown Reduction. Unique Effect: For each type of Elemental damage you deal, gain 10—15% increased damage for 4 seconds. Dealing Elemental damage refreshes all bonuses.
• Writhing Band of Trickery (Rogue): Stats include Critical Strike Chance, Critical Strike Damage, Damage to Crowd Controlled Enemies, and Maximum Life. Unique Effect: Casting a Subterfuge Skill leaves behind a Decoy Trap that continuously Taunts and lures enemies. The Decoy Trap explodes after 3 seconds dealing 2.0-3.0 Shadow damage. Can occur every 12 seconds.

Where to Find Malignant Rings:

Malignant Rings, like all unique items in diablo iv, can drop anywhere in World Tier 3 or World Tier 4. They are not uber uniques, making them fairly rare but not prohibitively so. They can be found from any source that drops other uniques, with the exception of gambling.

The most efficient way to farm Malignant Rings is by defeating the Echo of Varshan. This repeatable boss has a high chance of dropping a unique item, and all five Malignant Rings are on his loot table. Since only items for your current class will drop, your chances of obtaining a specific Malignant Ring are significantly increased.

How to Summon the Echo of Varshan:

To summon the Echo of Varshan, you will need to collect specific malignant body parts: Blackened Femurs, Gurgling Heads, Malignant Hearts, and Trembling Hands. These materials can be found in reward caches earned from completing Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and also drop from Grotesque Debtors, elite enemies that spawn randomly during events and activities.

Running Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers is the quickest and most reliable method for acquiring the necessary materials to summon the Echo of Varshan and farm for Malignant Rings.
