Elias, Hatred’s Remnant Boss Fight Tips and Strategies

Master the Elias, Hatred's Remnant boss fight in Diablo IV's Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon. Learn strategies, weaknesses, and preparation tips to defeat him and unlock World Tier 4.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Primary Damage Type: Fire
• Weak Point: Stagger Meter - build it up to deal significant damage during his stun phase.

Phases:

1. Elias has five health bar segments, but doesn't introduce many new attacks as the fight progresses. He primarily increases the frequency and number of his existing attacks.

Strategy:

• Preparation is Key: Aim to be level 70. Stack fire resistance by using flawless rubies in jewelry and drinking fire resistance elixirs. Ensure your gear is fully upgraded (4/4 or 5/5) and synergizes with your build.
• Patience and Stagger: Start the fight by slowly chipping away at Elias to build his stagger meter. Once staggered, unleash your full offensive power to deal as much damage as possible. Ideally, you can defeat him within a single stagger period.
• Dodge Fire Attacks:
• Fire Bolt Wave: Slow-moving fire bolts are projected forward. Stay at a distance to find gaps between the fanning bolts.
• Fire Bolt Barrage: Elias conjures and rapidly fires multiple fire bolts. Strafing is effective, but be aware he can chain these attacks and increase the number of bolts.
• Fire Bolt Flurry: An unpredictable attack where fire bolts swarm around Elias before being expelled in various directions. Maintain distance to widen the gaps between bolts.
• Wave of Flames: A large, fan-shaped area on the ground indicates an incoming wave of flame. Move out of the marked zone. This attack often doesn't reach the arena edges. He may chain multiple waves.
• Avoid Summoning Circles:
• Summon Demons: Elias scatters blood motes creating circular reticles on the floor. Avoid these areas as demons (Spawn of the Damned or Succubi) will erupt from them, dealing significant damage.
