You start with two Combat Ability points at 1st level and gain an additional point at each subsequent level. Each point of investment in a given ability gives an incremental upgrade to some stat (such as weapon damage or elemental damage) and opens up related skills.

Skills

Warfare

Each point of Warfare adds +5% damage to physical attacks. This increase is multiplicative with other sources of damage increase (such as Strength or Finesse).

Huntsman

Each point of Huntsman adds +5% to all damage when attacking from high ground. This bonus is applied after all other bonuses have been applied.

Scoundrel

Each point of Scoundrel adds +5% Critical Multiplier and 0.3 Movement Speed.

Pyrokinetic

Each point of Pyrokinetic adds +5% to all Fire damage.

Hydrosophist

Each point of Hydrosophist adds +5% to all Water damage, +5% to Vitality healed and +5% Magic Armour from skills and potions.

Aerotheurge

Each point of Aerotheurge adds +5% to all Air damage.

Geomancer

Each point of Geomancer adds +5% to all Earth and Poison damage and +5% Physical Armour from skills and potions.

Necromancer

Each point of Necromancer heals you for 10% of Vitality damage dealt to enemies.

Summoning

Each point of Summoning adds +10% Vitality, Damage and Armour to summons and totems.

Polymorph

Each point of Polymorph grants +1 Attribute Point.

Weapons

Single-Handed

Each point of Single-Handed adds +5% Damage and +5% Accuracy when using a single-handed weapon with a shield or empty off-hand.

Two-Handed

Each point of Two-Handed adds +5% Damage and +5% Critical Multiplier when using two-handed melee weapons.

Ranged

Each point of Ranged adds +5% Damage and +1% Critical Chance when using bows and crossbows.

Dual Wielding

Each point of Dual Wielding adds +5% Damage and +1% Dodging when wielding one-handed weapons in both hands.

Defence

Retribution

Each point of Retribution reflects +5% damage to your attacker.

Leadership

Each point of Leadership adds +2% Dodging and +3% to all resistances to allies (but not the character with the Leadership skill) within 8m.

Perseverance

Each point of Perseverance restores +5% Magic Armour when recovering from Frozen or Stunned and +5% Physical Armour when recovering from Knocked Down or Petrified.
