Walkthrough
- 1Move past explosive containers and continue down the corridor.
- 2Wait for three houndeyes to appear after the corridor turns right and defeat them.
- 3Proceed toward the water spill to reach section c1a4f.
- 4In the large room with hanging cables, lob a grenade at the bullsquid chewing on a scientist, then fire your assault rifle.
- 5Locate the first aid station in the room's opposite corner and use it.
- 6Get onto the narrow platform extending from the main floor.
- 7Crouch-jump onto the platform's right-hand railing, then jump to the ladder against the wall.

- 24Drop back onto the pipe segment next to the big ladder and climb to its top.
- 25Turn on your flashlight and slowly climb back down the ladder, looking for a small ridge on the large pillar to the right.
- 26Crouch-strafe carefully onto the ridge and crouch-walk along it to a point where you can drop to the floor without taking damage.
- 27Push or pull a small metal box near the first aid station through the doorway and place it next to the large metal box.
- 28Jump onto the small box, then crouch-jump onto the large box.
- 29Jump-crouch onto the thick metal cable running along the wall and follow it until you can drop to the floor past the electrified water spill.
- 30Move past the spill to return to section c1a4b.
- 31In section c1a4b, move until you get back to the bridge with explosives and recross it to reach the door-switch room.
- 32Use the switch to return to section c1a4i.
- 33In section c1a4i, quicksave before jumping the two large walkway gaps.
- 34Break off the boards on the boarded-over doorway with the crowbar and wait for the tentacles to calm down.
- 35Climb back up to the top level of the firing chamber, quicksaving frequently and quickrestoring when taking damage.
- 36Crouch-walk to the first ladder on the left as you enter the firing chamber and quickly climb it.
- 37Crouch-walk away or toss a grenade to avoid tentacle attacks.
- 38Repeat the process with the next two ladders.
- 39Resupply on grenades in the room past the firing chamber's upper platform.
- 40Return to the control room, watching out for a new floor gap.
- 41This is your last chance to visit the barnacle-related secret area if you haven't already.
Tips
- You can leave the bullsquid in the large room alone; it will not notice you.
- If you want to have more fun with the zombie, let it see you, then move back along the pipe so it walks through the toxic goo. Keep going back and forth until the goo kills it.
- You can ride the constantly moving platform, but it is not useful.
- Quicksave before attempting the large walkway gaps in section c1a4i.
