Detailed walkthrough for Part 57 of High on Life 2. Learn how to defeat alien controllers, a gargantua, and find hidden supplies with step-by-step instructions and tips.
Walkthrough
- 1Shoot the vortigaunt inside the cave, then another outside the entrance to the right.
- 2Enter the cave, go left, and kill a third vortigaunt near the back exit.
- 3Collect the ammo canister near the back exit.
- 4To reach the healing pool safely: exit the cave, turn right, get on the nearest up-n-down machine's raised ground, jump onto the hill, and run past it. Alternatively, long-jump directly to the pool.
- 5Return to the cave entrance.
- 6Reenter the cave, turn right, and enter the supply room.
- 7Carefully sneak-shoot the vortigaunt hiding to the left in the supply room with hornets before looting.
- 8Collect four health packs, three armor batteries, and two ammo canisters from the supply room. Note: Three alien controllers will appear outside after entering the room; deal with them before picking up ammo canisters.
- 9Leave the supply room and crouch-walk to the cave entrance.
- 10Take down the first alien controller hovering between two rocky spires using fast altfire hornets.
- 11Go to the cave's back exit, crouch-walk, and look out to find another hovering controller. Kill it with altfire hornets while staying inside the cave. If it moves and fires orbs, use regular-fire hornets and dodge.
- 12Equip the crossbow. Slowly move backward out of the cave's back exit while looking up and right to target the third controller's head. Fire two darts to kill it.
- 13Collect the ammo canisters from the cave supply room if not already done.
- 14Find the large cave entrance to the left of the two up-n-down machines (right of the tentacle).
- 15At the back of this cave's entry area, turn left, hop up rocks to find a tunnel leading to a big healing water cave. Watch out for barnacles.
- 16Return to the cave entry area and look left of the rock-blocked passage to find a narrow ridge leading to a hidden supply area. Jump and crouch-walk your way up.
- 17Loot the secret supply area.
- 18Go back down the ridge to the floor and look down the rock-blocked passage.
- 19Use altfire hornets to break the vines at the other end of the passage to lure the gargantua.
- 20Quickly run back outside and up onto the nearby large hill.
- 21Wait for the gargantua to come outside and see you.
- 22Move on your hill to lure the gargantua near the spiky-tipped plants. Shoot the plants nearest him with altfire hornets if needed.
- 23Dodge the gargantua's sonic stomp-blasts and let the plants destroy him.
- 24Enter the gargantua's lair and check the back wall for a small cave with supplies.
- 25On the opposite side of the lair, crouch-jump up the side of the smaller of the two big rocks under the large opening.
- 26Crouch-walk onto the highest point of the bigger rock, then drop to a rocky ledge.
- 27Jump across to the edge of the two-tentacle area.
- 28Use altfire hornets to kill the nearby barnacle.
- 29Wait for the two tentacles to settle down.
- 30Crouch-walk to the large break in the path around the tentacles. Quicksave.
- 31(Optional) Drop down to find an armor battery and three sets of hand grenades.
- 32Throw a hand grenade to proceed.
Tips
- When dealing with the alien controllers, staying inside the cave can prevent them from moving or firing orbs.
- The crossbow is effective for taking down the third controller from a distance.
- Use the environmental hazards (spiky plants) to defeat the gargantua, saving ammunition.
- If the gargantua gets stuck due to a glitch near the cave entrance rocks, you may need to use grenades, rockets, or the gluon gun to defeat it. Set up tripmines or C4 before breaking vines if planning to use them.
- Be cautious of barnacles in the healing water cave and near the two-tentacle area.
- Crouch-jumping and careful positioning are key to reaching hidden supply areas and navigating tricky platforms.
- Four health packs
- Three armor batteries
- Two ammo canisters (in cave supply room)
- Supplies in the gargantua's lair
