Part 53

High on Life 2 Xen walkthrough: Navigate the HUGE FLOATING ISLAND and Gonarch's Lair, including teleporter activation and combat tips.

Walkthrough:

1. Immediately save your game in a regular slot upon arriving in Xen, and perform a couple of quicksaves (a save that can be overwritten quickly). You have just passed one of the three hardest parts of High on Life 2. If you are in bad shape, save here and restore an earlier save to retry the teleporter chamber.
2. Perform a long jump (a jump that covers more distance than a standard jump, often combined with crouching) to the floating rock with a dead HEV (Hazardous Environment suit) guy and a health pack and armor battery. To make the jump, run forward, crouch, and jump just before the edge of your rock. If you miss, restore a save and try again.
3. Hide behind the rocky spire on the ledge as soon as you land, as a vortigaunt (an alien enemy) can zap you.
4. After collecting the health and armor, use the hornet gun (a weapon that fires small, guided projectiles) to kill the vortigaunt that teleports onto the next floating rock.
5. Long-jump to the vortigaunt's rock. Wait with the shotgun out for another vortigaunt to teleport in and quickly kill it.
6. Dispose of the houndeye (another alien enemy) that teleports behind the small rocky spire using the crowbar or hornet gun.
