The Arcology Limit
In older Mac and DOS versions of SC2K, there was a limit of 140 arcologies per city due to a 150 microsim limit. Later versions removed this limit, allowing newly constructed arcologies to also use microsims. Be aware that exceeding microsim capacity can affect the data gathered from important city buildings like City Hall.
