- 1Part 1: Collect 30 rings (Sonic or Tails alone) or 40 rings (Sonic and Tails). Stay in the middle of the track for the first 8 rings. Follow lines of rings appearing to the right, then left, then right again, then the center. Collect the final rings in the middle before the one-third way break.
- 2Part 2: Collect 70 rings (Sonic or Tails alone) or 80 rings (Sonic and Tails). Continue in the middle for more rings, then move left as the track goes uphill. Collect rings in the center, avoid bombs, and then collect small clusters appearing from the center, left, right, and back to the center before the two-thirds way mark.
- 3Part 3: Collect 130 rings (Sonic or Tails alone) or 140 rings (Sonic and Tails). Rings appear on the left; stay there for more. Avoid bombs passing above. Move to the center for rings, then right, center, left. Stay left for another batch, then return to the center for the final two batches.
