Mini-Boss: Prison Egg (First Encounter)

When you first see the machine, it'll look like a Prison Egg. Your goal here is to make it hit itself. Position Knuckles on the plunger. Wait for one of the spiked arms to swing towards you. As it's about to hit, quickly jump off the plunger. The arm will smash into the machine instead, damaging it.

Walkthrough: Act 2

1. Head right and go up the purple cylinder.
2. Jump on the springs and carefully move past the mines.
3. Drop down and go through the next purple cylinder.
4. Press the switch you find, then head down.
5. Continue right and press another switch.
6. Go all the way down and then head left.
7. Pass the Starpost.
8. Press the switch.
9. Go up and use the spider-like platform to cross the purple cylinder.
10. Run past the mines and press the switch.
11. Drop down and go through the purple cylinder.
12. Pass the Starpost.
13. Press the switch.
14. Head right and jump on the flame blaster to undo the corkscrew mechanism.
15. Drop down and pass the Starpost.
16. Press the switch. You'll need to use Spin Dash immediately after to avoid getting crushed.
17. Press two more switches, then drop down.
18. Head right and use the moving platforms.
19. Go past the mines and use the spider platform.
20. Go down and press the switch.
21. Pass the Starpost and head left.
22. Go up and head through the purple cylinder.
23. Use the moving platforms to reach the top.

Mini-Boss Battle: Laser Machine

At the end of this section, you'll encounter another mini-boss, the Laser Machine. This one requires you to avoid its attacks and find an opening to strike. Remember, the goal is to hit it a total of 0 times, meaning you need to survive its onslaught without taking damage.
