The Tower of Spirits is a pretty unique dungeon in Spirit Tracks, acting as the central hub for the whole game. It's broken into five pieces at the start, and you'll be returning here after clearing each of the main realms. Think of it like the Temple of the Ocean King from Phantom Hourglass, but thankfully, there's no strict time limit here, and you don't have to replay floors you've already cleared. It's actually the largest dungeon in the Zelda series with 30 floors! ### Story Long ago, the Spirits of Good defeated the Demon King Malladus but couldn't destroy him completely. They sealed his spirit using the Spirit Tracks as shackles and the Tower of Spirits as a lock. Fast forward a century, and Chancellor Cole breaks the tower to revive Malladus. Anjean, the Lokomo sage, holds the tower's base together with her power, giving you time to start your quest. You'll need to collect the Rail Map from each of the four realms (Forest, Snow, Ocean, and Fire) and restore the Spirit Tracks there to bring the tower segments back. After you've visited all four temples, you'll head back up the tower to face Byrne, who's just a distraction for Cole's plans. ### Dungeon Mechanics Princess Zelda plays a big role here. Once you get the three Tears of Light to power up your sword, she can possess Phantoms. You'll need to sneak up behind a Phantom and slash its back to let Zelda take control. You can then draw a path for her on the touchscreen, and she'll follow it while you control Link. The puzzles and combat rely on you two working together. Each visit to the tower will introduce new challenges and require items you found in the previous temple. For example, you'll use the Whirlwind after the Forest Temple. Keep in mind that while you don't have to backtrack through cleared floors, some treasures on those earlier floors might need items from later temples to reach. So, you might need to come back later for those! Once you get the Lokomo Sword, you won't need the Tears of Light anymore. ### Items * Rail Map * Compass of Light * Tears of Light * Stamp Station ### Enemies * Armos * ChuChu * Fire Keese * Keese * Key Master * Miniblin * Nocturn * Phantom
