    After safely taking the carpenter to the bridge, speak with him, yourself, and Linebeck III. You learn the bridge repair costs 5,000 Rupees.

    Talk to Linebeck III, who reveals a plan to find his grandfather's buried treasure. He gives you his grandfather's letter with two clues:

    1. To enter the hiding spot, sound the light and follow its beam.

    2. Inside, go 4 steps north and 6 steps west from where the lights cross.

    Exit the shop and head west into a cave. Defeat the Like Likes by stunning them with the Boomerang and then slashing them.

    Continue north until you see an exit. Before leaving, go to the west side and find a block. Use a Bomb to destroy the block.

    Hop across the platforms to the stamp station and get your book stamped. You now have 10 stamps.

    Take the north exit out of the cave. You'll find a sound stone. Check it to see the notes: Purple, Yellow, Red, Light Blue, White.

    Play these notes on your Spirit Flute to learn the Song of Light.

    A light crystal will appear and shine a beam toward the sea. Use the Boomerang to find and hit a switch, which extends a bridge to a small northern islet.

    Head to the islet and blast open the crack in the wall to enter.

    Kill the Octoroks. Avoid the treasure chest to the north, as it is a Like Like in disguise.

    Play the Song of Light next to the crystals to make them shine beams. Stand on the tile where the beams intersect.

    Follow the second clue: move 4 steps north and 6 steps west.

    Play the Song of Discovery to make a chest appear. Open it to find the Regal Ring.

    Return to Linebeck III and give him the Regal Ring. The carpenter will finish his work, take the ring, and leave.

    You do not need to escort the carpenter back. Note that the Regal Ring was worth 8,000 Rupees, but you don't receive the difference.

    Before leaving for the Ocean Realm, travel to Aboda Village and visit Niko.

    For having 10 stamps, Niko gives you the Shield of Antiquity, which cannot be lost. Approach and tap the shield on the ground to equip it.

Tips
  • Like Likes can permanently eat your shield if they suck you into their mouths. Keep your distance and use the Boomerang to stun them.
  • The Regal Ring is worth 8,000 Rupees, but the 5,000 Rupee cost for the bridge repair means you don't get the change.
