To unlock the Hospital in Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Happy Home Paradise DLC, you must design 24 Vacation Homes. Lottie will get the idea after a party celebrating the 20 Vacation Home milestone.

Designing the Hospital

Exterior

When designing the hospital, you can recolor the roof, exterior walls, door, and change the hospital cross flag.

Interior

After the exterior, you will remodel two interior rooms: a Waiting Area and an Examination Room.

Waiting Room Design Ideas

The Waiting Area should accommodate patients waiting to see the doctor. The original room size is large, allowing for extra seating and a potential play area.

You can add items like bookshelves, magazines, and bulletin boards. Consider adding colorful block furniture and toys for a play area. The original flooring and wallpaper can be kept, or an accent wall and rugs can be added to make it more inviting.

Examination Room Design Ideas

The catalogue offers many hospital-themed furniture and medical equipment items. You can use partition walls to divide the room and create a patient ward area.

Examination Room Required Items

You can add beds (hospital bed, modern hospital bed, stretcher, examining bed) and medical machines. Adding curtain partitions can create a patient ward area.

Expanding the Hospital

You can donate 120,000 Poki to help the hospital expand and build a Patient Ward. This donation is possible after designing at least 24 Vacation Homes and numerous other facilities. After the donation goal is met, speak to Lottie the next day to begin construction of the Patient Ward on the second floor.

Patient Ward Design Ideas

Required Items

• x3 beds of your choosing

The Patient Ward is on the second floor. You can use hospital beds or normal beds. Fill the room with beds and place medical equipment around. Hospital chairs and stools can add pops of color. The original room is narrow and small, so you might want to increase its size. Use curtain dividers and add wallpaper and flooring, such as operating room wallpaper and rubber flooring. Lighting fixtures and wall hangings can add depth.
