When you log in to start your day, Tom Nook will make an announcement about the grand opening. He'll also mention a special celebration you can join in on. To get in on the fun, just head over to Resident Services and chat with Nook. You can ask him to hold a ceremony right there to celebrate the new shop!

After the ceremony, all your island residents will gather to celebrate the opening of Nook's Cranny. It's a nice little moment to appreciate the progress you've made!

Visiting Nook’s Cranny

Once the celebration wraps up, it's time to head over to Nook's Cranny and see what's new! As soon as you step inside, you'll probably overhear Timmy and Tommy chatting with Mabel, the adorable blue hedgehog. She's a clothing supplier and she's decided to set up shop on your island every so often, offering all sorts of fashion items to you and your neighbors.

The shop is now stocked with tons of new furniture that you can't craft yourself using DIY recipes. Plus, the inventory changes daily, so you'll always find something new to check out. On top of that, Timmy and Tommy are now selling flooring and wallpaper, which is fantastic for sprucing up the look of your home. Don't forget to peek inside the cabinet on the back wall – that's where you'll find flower seeds, saplings, tools, and even new DIY recipes!

New Services

Now that Nook's Cranny is up and running, you'll have access to three exciting new services:

• Turnips: First off, you can now buy and sell turnips! Think of it like the stock market. You'll buy turnips on Sunday mornings from Daisy Mae (though the guide mentions Timmy and Tommy here, it's actually Daisy Mae who sells them on Sundays). The prices fluctuate throughout the day, and you have a week to sell them. Your goal is to buy low and sell high to make the most profit possible. Keep a close eye on Timmy and Tommy's prices – you want to sell them when they're offering more than you paid!
• The Hot Item of the Day: Every single day, there's a special item that Timmy and Tommy will buy for double its usual price! This item will always be something you can craft yourself using a DIY recipe. So, pay attention to what you can make and sell it for a nice profit boost.
• Drop-Off Box: If you're playing late at night or just want to sell something quickly, there's a drop-off box located right outside the shop. It's super convenient for nocturnal players since the shop itself closes at 10 PM. Just a heads-up, though: you'll only get 80% of the item's original selling price when using the box, and you can't sell turnips through it.
