Hey there! Ready to add some more flair to your island? Let's talk about shrubs. They're a super easy way to make your gardens and pathways look extra special, and Leif is your guy for getting them.

Leif pops up every now and then with a selection of shrub starts. He'll always have the shrub that's currently in season and blooming, plus another one that's not quite ready yet. A single shrub start will set you back 280 Bells, or you can grab a pack of 5 for 1,400 Bells. Stock up!

Once you've got your shrubs, planting them is pretty straightforward. Grab your shovel, dig a hole where you want the shrub to go, and then select the shrub start from your inventory. You can plant them directly into the ground without digging a hole, but digging first gives you a bit more control over the exact placement. After planting, they'll take a few days to grow into their full glory. If they're in bloom, they might even take an extra day to start showing off their flowers.

Here’s a cool thing about shrubs: they grow into something more like trees once they're mature. This means you can't walk through them like you can with flowers. They're perfect for creating little barriers, defining pathways, or just adding some extra depth to your flowerbeds and gardens. Think of them as natural fences!

You can't cross-breed shrubs like you can with some flowers, and good news – you don't need to water them! Just plant 'em and let them grow.

• Hydrangea Shrubs - Bloom early June to mid July.
• Hibiscus Shrubs - Bloom late July to mid September.
• Tea Olive Shrubs - Bloom late September to late October.

• Camellia Shrubs - Bloom early February to late March.
