New Materials on Mystery Islands

Seasonal Materials: Travel via Kapp'n's Boat Tours to islands that have seasonal items like Cherry Blossoms (Spring, ~10 days) or Snowflakes (Winter). This allows you to collect these limited-time materials for DIY recipes without time traveling extensively.

Crops: Dig up various crops such as mushrooms, tomatoes, and sugarcane on these new islands to use for farming and cooking introduced in the new update.

Star Fragments: Look for rocks on Kapp'n islands that spit out star fragments. Position yourself carefully and hit the rocks with a shovel to collect up to nine items. Check every rock on the island as star fragments seem exclusive to them.

Gyroid Fragments: Dig up Gyroid fragments on Kapp'n's islands. Plant these fragments in the ground on your island like a plant, and a Gyroid will be ready the next day. This is an efficient way to collect Gyroids for decor and music.

Glowing Moss: Find glowing moss on Kapp'n's Mystery Islands. If you purchase the Happy Home Paradise DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch), it will also grow on your own island. This moss is used in many new DIY recipes.

Vines: Collect vines, which are often found alongside glowing moss. Vines can be used in DIY recipes and are particularly useful for creating permanent ladders on cliffs, eliminating the need for craftable ladders.

Bells: Some of Kapp'n's islands have rocks that can be hit to yield Bells, similar to Nook Mystery Tours. You may also find Bell Island, an island filled with Bell Trees, which can provide a decent boost to your Bell count.
