Combat Skills
The Combat tree enhances your fighting capabilities, offering health boosts, regeneration, increased damage, combo maintenance, and special attacks. Some skills are unlocked by default, while others require SP to unlock.
Default Combat Skills:
- Multi-finisher: Press attack near multiple enemies near death to execute up to four at once.
- Stun Attack: Press A/X to break a guard’s defence and stun them temporarily.
- Counter: Press B/Circle to counter enemy attacks.
- Tool Combo: Press Y/Triangle to use Tools (revolver, throwing knives, bombs) during combat.
Unlockable Combat Skills:
- Health Boost I: Costs 1 SP. Increases health by 1 segment.
- Health Boost II: Costs 2 SP. Increases health by 1 segment.
- Health Boost III: Costs 2 SP. Increases health by 1 segment.
- Adrenaline: Costs 4 SP. Increases the rate at which health regenerates.
- Combat Stamina: Costs 6 SP. Performing Multi-kills regenerates health based on the number of enemies killed.
- Unstoppable I: Costs 1 SP. Increases the time before you lose your combo due to inaction.
- Unstoppable II: Costs 2 SP. The first hit taken during a combo doesn’t end your combo.
- Slayer I: Costs 1 SP. When the combo counter reaches X10, the next attack will put an enemy in a near-death state.
- Slayer II: Costs 2 SP. Upon putting an enemy in a near-death state, the next attack will put another in a near-death state too.
- Counter Boost: Costs 2 SP. Counter attacks have a larger window of opportunity and do more damage.
- Execute I: Costs 2 SP. Stun an enemy with A/X and then use a Tool (Y/Triangle) for massive damage.
- Execute II: Costs 4 SP. Enemies who see you execute someone will lower their defences temporarily.
- Mutilate I: Costs 2 SP. Successful attacks bring enemies to near-death more quickly.
- Mutilate II: Costs 4 SP. (Jacob Only) Jacob’s attacks bring enemies to near-death much more rapidly.
Stealth Skills
The Stealth tree focuses on silent and sneaky abilities, including lock picking, improved throwing knife effectiveness, reduced detection, and special takedowns. Some skills are unlocked by default.
Default Stealth Skills:
- Whistle: Use whistle to attract enemy’s attention.
- Knockout: Use B/Circle behind an enemy to grab them. Hold the button to knock them out.
- Stealth Navigation: Press A/X to enter sneak mode.
- Air Assassination: Press X/Square whilst highlighting an enemy from above to assassinate.
- Kidnap: Use B/Circle behind an enemy to grab them as a hostage.
Unlockable Stealth Skills:
- Double Assassination: Costs 1 SP. Kill two unaware targets at the same time.
- Loot Takedown: Costs 1 SP. Automatically loot an enemy whilst performing an assassination.
- Lock Picking I: Costs 1 SP. Allows you to unlock locked chests.
- Lock Picking II: Costs 2 SP. Allows you to unlock locked doors.
- Intimidation: Costs 2 SP. Whilst being kidnapped, enemies will no longer try to escape.
- First Strike I: Costs 2 SP. Attack an enemy just before they enter combat for massive damage.
- First Strike II: Costs 6 SP. First Strike inflicts even more damage.
- Stealth I: Costs 2 SP. Increases stealth stat by 7, making you harder to detect.
- Stealth II: Costs 2 SP. Increases stealth stat by an additional 7, making you harder to detect.
- Stealth III: Costs 4 SP. (Evie only) Increases stealth stat by an additional 11, making you harder to detect.
- Knife Master I: Costs 2 SP. Throwing knives will now stun enemies temporarily.
- Knife Master II: Costs 4 SP. (Evie only) Doubles the number of throwing knives you can carry.
- Assassin Steps: Costs 2 SP. Reduces movement noise and fall damage significantly.
- Chameleon: Costs 6 SP. (Evie only) In sneak mode, Evie is invisible when stationary.
Ecosystem Skills
The Ecosystem tree offers support abilities, including upgrades to Eagle Vision, carriage performance, pistol effectiveness, passive armor, and the ability to recruit Rooks. Some skills are unlocked by default.
Default Ecosystem Skills:
- Countershot: Use Y/Triangle to shoot an enemy that’s about to shoot you.
- Eagle Vision I: Use LS/L3 to trigger Eagle Vision.
- Fast Driver: Press A/X whilst driving a carriage for a speed boost.
- Leadership I: Press RB/R1 to recruit up to 2 Rooks to follow you.
- Leadership II: Unlocked at level 3. Press RB/R1 to recruit up to 3 Rooks to follow you.
- Leadership III: Unlocked at level 5. Press RB/R1 to recruit up to 5 Rooks to follow you.
Unlockable Ecosystem Skills:
- Eagle Vision II: Costs 1 SP. Eagle Vision now allows you to tag enemies through walls.
- Eagle Vision III: Costs 2 SP. Radius of Eagle Vision increases. Shows enemy orientations on the map.
- Scavenger I: Costs 1 SP. Find more common crafting resources.
- Scavenger II: Costs 2 SP. Find more uncommon crafting resources.
- Driver I: Costs 2 SP. Collisions cause less damage or slow you down whilst driving.
- Driver II: Costs 4 SP. Carriage acceleration increased.
- Demolition Derby: Costs 6 SP. Carriages you drive take less damage and inflict more damage.
