Memory 07: 07 Room With View

From the starting rooftop, observe the monument and the gathering below, noting the police presence.

Locate a haystack on the far side of the square.

Descend to ground level and hide in the haystack. Wait for the patrolling policeman to move away from the stage area.

Exit the haystack and crouch walk under the platform.

Examine the shining panel on the wall beneath the platform.

Backtrack from under the platform, avoiding the patrolling policeman.

Climb to a nearby rooftop and use the Rope Launch ability to cross to the monument.

Climb to the very top of the monument. A cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play, updating your objectives.

When back in control, use the Rope Launcher to target a ledge behind the haystack you used earlier. Maneuver above the haystack and perform a leap of faith from the zipline into it. This completes the optional objective of using the haystack.

Once back on the ground, grab a nearby cart and proceed to the next objective marker.

The objective marker will lead you to St. Paul’s Cathedral. A search area will appear on the western side of the building.

Climb to the roof of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Use Eagle Vision on the base of the statue of the woman directly above the building’s western entrance.

Interact with the panel to activate a rotation puzzle.

Solve the puzzle by rotating the gears so that the symbols match on each adjacent gear. The steps are:

• Rotate the top gear right five times (l-shape with circle faces gear below).

Rotate the gear attached to the top gear left twice (l-shape with circle faces gear above, three circles face gear below).

Rotate the bottom left gear left five times (three circles face gear above, back-to-front ‘E’ faces gear right).

Rotate the gear to the right (from bottom left) left twice (back-to-front ‘E’ faces gear left, ‘69’ faces gear above, triangle faces gear below).

Rotate the lower right gear left four times (‘69’ faces gear below).

Rotate the middle right gear right four times (triangle faces gear above).

After the puzzle is solved and a cutscene plays, climb to the top of the building to reach the waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination).

Examine the pedestal inside for another cutscene.

You will enter a one-on-one boss fight with a Templar.

The opponent will mostly throw single attacks, but will transition to a rapid succession of 3-4 attacks after taking damage.

To complete the optional objective of countering everything without taking a hit, practice your timing to counter these attacks. Be aware that the camera can sometimes bounce around near walls, making it difficult to focus. The counter icon may also not always appear in time.

If you take damage, quickly reload the previous checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) to try again.

After defeating the Templar, a cutscene will play to end the memory.

Use the lever on the wall to open a window for escape.
