Memory 05: 05 Thorne In The Side

Climb to the vantage point on the Tower of London battlement. Use Eagle Vision to tag the three opportunity icons: Allied Guard, Constable, and Chief Yeoman. You can choose to complete none, one, or all of these opportunities.

Allied Guard – Unique Kill Opportunity: Find the Allied Guard on the northern side. He will task you with killing three Templars disguised as Royal Guards. Completing this allows the guard to escort you into the compound for an easy assassination. The Templars are located in the western courtyard, on the street in front of the northernmost building, and on the roof of the central structure.

Constable – Assistance Opportunity: Locate the Constable in a locked room in the southeast corner. You need to get the key from a guard by stealing it or killing and looting him. Once freed, the Constable will make the surrounding guards non-hostile and allow you to recruit them.

Chief Yeoman – Infiltration Opportunity: Find the Chief Yeoman patrolling the western courtyard. He carries a Master Key that unlocks all doors, including rooftop access to the central tower. You can steal or loot this key from him. Note that killing him counts as one of the Templars for the optional objective.

Assassination Strategy (Option 01: The Master Key): Obtain the Master Key from the Chief Yeoman. Use Rope Launch to reach the top of the central keep. Use a smoke bomb to cover your entry through a rooftop door. Descend the stairs and use stealth, throwing knives, and cover to eliminate Templars in the corridor. Enter the library area and air assassinate the target from the walkway.

Assassination Strategy (Option 02: The Allied Guard): Complete the sub-quest for the Allied Guard by eliminating the three disguised Templars. Return to the Allied Guard for a reverse-kidnapping sequence. Enter the central keep, moving slowly and using stealth to avoid detection by guards. When you reach the target's room, press the 'assassinate' button when prompted during the scene.

Assassination Strategy (Option 03: The Constable): Go to the southeast corner and enter the building with the Constable. Obtain the key from a guard to free him. The Constable will then make the Royal Guards non-hostile.
