Boss: Star Magician

The Star Magician has approximately 9650 HP and attacks twice per turn. Its moves include Basic Attack (low damage physical), Spark Plasma (low-medium damage Wind attack), Megacool (low-medium damage Water attack), Mine Ball (low damage physical attack hitting up to three people), and Mystic Call (summons another ball). The magician can summon up to four balls at a time.

The summoned balls have the following approximate HP and abilities:

  • Thunder Ball (Around 400 HP): Moves include Shine Plasma / Storm Ray (low damage).
  • Anger Ball (Around 700 HP): Moves include Angry Mine (low-medium damage explosion).
  • Guardian Ball (Around 700 HP): Moves include Guard Aura (shields the Magician).
  • Ghoul Ball (Around 900 HP): Moves include Consume Djinn (eats a Djinn; killing the ball recovers it).
  • Death Ball (Around 600 HP): Moves include Condemn (chance to kill) / Haunt (chance to curse).
  • Refresh Ball (Around 600 HP): Moves include Pure Ply (heals the Magician).

The Guardian Ball and Refresh Ball are the most problematic. Prioritize defeating them. Killing the Ghoul Ball and Death Ball is also recommended, though optional. Buff yourself and focus on eliminating Guardian and Refresh balls first. Once the Star Magician has about two balls remaining, concentrate your attacks on it. Maintain one party member dedicated to group healing.

Experience and gold gained after the fight vary based on the number of balls killed. One player reported receiving 242747 XP and 9799 Gold.

  • After defeating the Star Magician, you will obtain the Azul Summon. This summon requires 3 Venus and 4 Mercury Djinn (a type of magical creature or entity).
Tips
  • Prioritize defeating Guardian and Refresh Balls summoned by the Star Magician.
  • Keep a party member focused on group healing during the boss fight.
  • Consider killing the Ghoul and Death balls as well, though they are not essential.
  • The Star Magician is less threatening if the Ancient Devil has already been defeated.
