Cannock Castle

Learn how to complete the Cannock Castle quest in Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Find the Prince and get your reward!

Alright, so you've made it to Tickington and are ready to tackle the Cannock Castle quest! It's a bit of a journey, and you won't be able to finish it all in one go. The game gates some of it until you're pretty far along, so don't worry if you can't do everything right away. Just head to Hotto first, do the story stuff there, and then check out Mt. Huji. After a little event, you'll find a secret hideout. Inside, a red Tockle on a chair will give you the pastword you need to even start thinking about this quest.

Once you're actually in Cannock Castle, you can look around, but don't get too excited about treasure chests just yet. Your first real task is to speak with the King. He'll tell you his son, the Prince, has gone off on an adventure to find some help to defeat evil. Your job is to find this Prince! The first clue is that he went to see some Roamers. This means your next stop is the Roamer Encampment. You'll need to finish that area up before you can make any real progress here. After you've done that, come back and speak to Kiefer. He'll let you know that the Prince has moved on to yet another place.

Your next destination is the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia. Make sure you've got some Holy Water or Holy Protection handy, then head up to the second floor. As soon as you arrive, look for two holes to the northeast of the stairs. Just walk over and drop down the first hole you see. This is where you'll find Alena and her crew. Chat with Alena, and she'll confirm the Prince was there but has since headed off to Whealbrook. Here's the catch: you won't be able to get to Whealbrook until you're in the final part of the game and have obtained the Ultimate Key. Once you finally get access to Whealbrook and complete its quest, find and speak with Pankraz. He'll tell you the Prince has now gone to The Neverglade.

Your final step is to travel to The Neverglade. Head north, then east, and you'll find the Prince. When you talk to him, you'll get the option to use your Luminary powers to send him back to his own time and place. Go ahead and do that. After that, just return to the King who gave you the quest. He'll be happy to see you and will reward you with a Tectonic Plate!
