Walkthrough
- 1Start at the north of the map, head south to a tent, and find a Single Phial inside a pot.
- 2Enter The Kingsbarrow, go down the stairs, and follow the path to the first intersection.
- 3Take a right at the intersection, climb ledges to go outside, then head south to rubble to find a Sparkly Spot containing a Hardy Hide.
- 4Return inside to the intersection, take the path to the right. Clear out Little Devils in the next room.
- 5Continue through the larger room to the next intersection. Search either side of the Exterior to find a Sparkly Spot and a chest containing a Strength Ring.
- 6Proceed from the intersection, climb ledges to go outside again. Head south to the other side of the rubble to find a chest with the Strength Ring.
- 7Return inside, head north. Find a Sparkly Spot amidst Mecha-mynahs. Defeat them and collect a Wing of Bat.
- 8Head west to exit the room and reach another intersection. Continue to find a chest behind Smogs containing a Templar's Uniform.
- 9Return to the intersection and go down the stairs.
- 10Follow the linear path down stairs to an open area where you'll learn about Monster Mounts.
- 11Find a sparkling Eggsoskeleton, defeat it, and mount it. Use its jump ability (press [R2]) to reach the right platform and find a chest with a Seed of Defense.
- 12Jump to the opposite platform to find a chest with the Recipe Book Put a Feather in Your Cap.
- 13Drop down to the door area and find the final chest containing two phials of Magic Water.
- 14Heal and restore MP for the Hero and Erik before proceeding through the door for a mini-boss fight.
- 15Defeat the two Grim Gryphons. They have around 130 HP each, can cast Whoosh on the party, and use Deceleratle. Utilize abilities like Scorched Earth, Sleeper Hit, and Sizz if available.
- 16After the fight, Erik retrieves the Red Orb. Head east towards the Door of Departure.
- 17Exit The Kingsbarrow by fighting your way back or using the Evac spell.
- 18Return to the Camp in The Emerald Coast or use a Chimera Wing. Rest and save.
- 19If Level 10 or higher, unlock your first forge flourish. Craft a Feathered Cap using a Hardy Hide and a Flurry Feather. Equip the new armor.
- 20Begin the journey east towards the Door of Departure. Hendrick will catch up, initiating a chase.
Tips
- Little Devils can perform group attacks, so be cautious when fighting multiple.
- Defeating sparkling monsters allows you to mount them, enabling higher jumps to reach new areas and chests.
- The Strength Ring increases Attack by 5.
- Prepare for the Grim Gryphon fight by healing and restoring MP.
- If you have Erik's Sleeper Hit ability, use it to incapacitate one Gryphon while focusing on the other.
