Alright, so you've just landed in Tickington and picked up your first Pastword, the one for Galenholm. It's called the 'Altar of Origins,' and you can totally tackle it right when you get here, probably around level 12 or 13. Don't worry, it's pretty straightforward!

Enemies you'll run into:

  • Slime (~7 HP)
  • Dracky (~11 HP)
  • She-Slime (~25 HP)
  • Drohl Drone (~28 HP)
  • Drackmage (~28 HP)
  • Chimaera (~49 HP) - Watch out for their Fire Breath, it hits everyone for about 10 damage.
  • Fromage Fray (~39 HP) - These guys can hit you with Bang, which hurts the party, and they can even heal themselves by eating cheese!
  • Fromage Flay (Rarefied, ~160 HP) - This is a tougher version of the Fromage Fray. It can use Zam, a strong single-target spell, and Tongue Lashing, which can make you lose a turn.

Most of these enemies are old pals from the main game. The Chimaera and Fromage Fray are the new faces here. The Fromage Flay, being a Rarefied monster, can be a bit of a challenge, so be ready!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
First off, there's nothing really to see in the town itself. Head straight for the old man standing by a doorway. Chat with him, and he'll tell you about a fiend who swiped the Lyre of Ire.
  2. 2
Accept his quest, which is called The Harp-Hearkened Horrors. Then, head through the doorway behind him.
  3. 3
You'll see three chests sitting right there. Go ahead and open them up – you'll get a Lamplight, a Medicinal Herb, and 20g. Nice little haul!
  4. 4
Now, look towards the back of the room. There's a dark curtain there. If you look *really* closely, you'll spot a spot on the left side that looks a little different. Walk into that exact spot.
  5. 5
Poof! You'll be transported outside. Just follow the path, and you'll find the monster you need to talk to on the right.
  6. 6
Speak to this monster to kick off a fight against the Wrongo Bongo.

Boss Fight: Wrongo Bongo

  • HP: Around 150 HP.
  • Special Moves:
    • Can use the Lyre to summon a She-Slime or Drohl Drone.
    • Wicked Beat: Hits your whole party and has a chance to make characters skip their next turn.
    • Emboldening Beat: Boosts the attack of the boss and any other enemies.

The Wrongo Bongo is basically a mini-boss, and it's the guy who nabbed the Lyre of Ire. It's not too tough. Its normal attack is okay, and Hero and Erik should handle it fine. It's a good idea to cast Buff on Veronica and Serena, though, since their defense might be a bit lower. If it summons any extra enemies, just focus on the Wrongo Bongo first. Once it's down, you can deal with any adds.

Quest Completion:

  1. After you beat the Wrongo Bongo, all those annoying random encounters will stop. You'll also get the Lyre of Ire back.
  2. Head back to the old man you spoke to earlier and give him the Lyre.
  3. You'll complete the quest and earn a Gold Bracer as your reward.
  4. The townspeople will reappear, but there's nothing else to do here. Just use the portal to head back to Tickington and finish up Galenholm. Good job!
