Recruit All Characters in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Of the 120 characters to find in Eiyuden Chronicle, 46 of them will join as part of the main story, so you won’t have to do anything to get them. However, that still leaves plenty of other characters that don’t do that, so you will need to find them in the game’s world. Some of these extras will simply join upon talking with them, but others will require you to do something before they actually hop aboard. There are even some characters that you might run into earlier on, who might not want to join you until much later.

We’ve broken this up into the main events of the game where new characters become available to recruit. This also includes those that will join automatically as part of the story, so you can keep track of how close you are to bagging all 120 characters.

Initial Characters

These characters are your initial group, available as soon as you start the game. Note that the prologue will have a few extra characters that aren’t available until later. Additionally, while we’ll provide notes on how to recruit every character here, click on their name to be taken to a more in-depth guide for specific characters.

Initial Recruitment in Eltisweiss

Once you make it to Eltisweiss, you will be told by Ymir to recruit some characters to the Watch. The following table contains all of the characters you will be able to recruit at that time:

Mellore	Eltisweiss	Run into her by the stairs near the exit, then defeat the boss at end of Redthroat Ridge
Yusuke	Fort Xialuke	Speak to him and ask to join
Yume	Werne Village	Speak to the old lady on left side at first intersection, then go to Redthroat Ridge to find her near the start
Kuroto	Altverden Village	Speak to him in southwest corner of town, then kill five Wild Boars in Redthroat Ridge (can kill before to autocomplete)
Francesca	Altverden Village	Speak to her in northwest corner of town
Gigina	Arenside	After clearing the Abandoned Mines, return to Arenside and speak to him to the left of the entrance, Nowa must be Level 9

Recruitment After Obtaining the HQ

Once you gain access to your HQ for the first time, you’ll be sent off to recruit a bunch of characters to start building up the resistance. The following table contains all of the characters you will be able to recruit at that time:

Hiro	Abandoned Mine	Access the well in the Courtyard (1F of the castle) to return to the Abandoned Mine where you can now recruit Hiro (Midpoint)
Ormond	Abandoned Mine	Return to the Abandoned Mine via the castle well and go across the new wooden plank to find him, bring him three pieces of Iron Ore to recruit him
Galdorf	Abandoned Mine	Found at the Abandoned Mine entrance, bring him a Palenight Mail. Examine the sparkle near Ormond to get this, a chest in the Proving Grounds, or from shops in the desert
Kerrin	Dappled Forest	Find Kerrin to the right of the entrance, gather 20 Lumber and return (you can get these in the same forest)
Wyler	Bounty Hill	Speak with him at the start of the area, he will join as a temp to find Marin in this dungeon. Joins after you find her
Marin	Bounty Hill	Joins alongside Wyler
Falward	Altverden Village	Find him in the meeting hall and bring him 15 Healing Herbs (can buy these at the item shop)
Dr. Corque	Eltisweiss	Meet Reid in the southwest of town, then head to the building in the southeast to begin the Beigoma scenario. You must beat the players in Altverden, Kyushiri, Werne, and back to Eltisweiss and speak to Corque to recruit
Frida	Werne Village	Speak to her at her tent to the southwest to join
Gieran	The Greatwood East	Speak to him and he will tell you he’s looking for a Rune of Conservation. Drops from the boss, go back and give to him to have him join
Kallathor	The Treefolk Village	Joins automatically as part of the story

Recruitment During Euchrisse Events

Once you get the go ahead to make your way to Euchrisse, Land of Water, you’ll be able to go on another recruitment spree. You’ll get Carrie during this section of the game, which unlocks Fast Travel, making life much easier to get around.
