Walkthrough
- 1Reach the town of Dabavin, which becomes accessible after completing the Shandar Ridge Dungeon. This is roughly halfway through the game, during the main quest 'Across the Desert'.
- 2Locate Rody on the bottom floor of Dabavin, standing near the Item shop.
- 3Speak with Rody, who will request a Pearl Pocket Watch before he considers joining the Alliance.
- 4To obtain a Pearl Pocket Watch, you need to appraise Unknown Pocket Watches.
- 5Unknown Pocket Watches are dropped by Desert Killers found in the Great Sandy Sea. Access the Great Sandy Sea by speaking to the NPC at the dock in Impershi’arc.
- 6Desert Killers have a 5-10% chance to drop an Unknown Pocket Watch. This chance can be slightly increased by equipping the Lucky Badge, found in the Seaside Cavern.
- 7It is recommended to farm at least 5-10 Unknown Pocket Watches from Desert Killers.
- 8Return to a nearby town and appraise the Unknown Pocket Watches.
- 9If you do not receive a Pearl Pocket Watch, return to the Great Sandy Sea to farm more. Selling excess watches can provide a good source of income.
- 10Once you have the Pearl Pocket Watch, return it to Rody in Dabavin to recruit him.
Tips
- Farming Unknown Pocket Watches also grants EXP and can be a good way to earn money by selling the ones you don't need.
