Where to Recruit Characters for the Watch

Learn where to recruit Iugo, Mellore, Yusuke, Yume, Kuroto, and Francesca in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. This guide details their locations and recruitment requirements.

This guide details how to recruit several characters early in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Follow these steps to add Iugo, Mellore, Yusuke, Yume, Kuroto, and Francesca to your party.

Recruiting Iugo: Iugo is found in the tavern in Eltisweiss. To find the tavern, go to the eastern side of the town and look for a small, unmarked building accessible via a small path. Speak with Iugo inside to have him join your party.

Recruiting Mellore: Mellore can be recruited near the exit of Eltisweiss. Trigger a scene near the town exit stairs, then leave the town for another scene. Travel to Redthroat Ridge on the world map. Mellore will join as a guest during this dungeon. After defeating the boss at the end of Redthroat Ridge, she will join permanently. For more details, refer to the Mellore Recruitment Guide.

Recruiting Yusuke: Yusuke is located at Fort Xialuke in the north-central part of Grum County. Inside the fort, approach guards arguing with a man. During the conversation, when presented with dialogue options, choose the first option on the second prompt to recruit him.

Recruiting Yume: To recruit Yume, you must first have recruited Mellore. Visit Werne Village in northwestern Grum County. At the first crossroads (to the right of some stairs west of the crossroads), speak with an old lady. She will mention her granddaughter is near Redthroat Ridge. Head to Redthroat Ridge and approach Yume near the beginning of the dungeon for a scene. Ask her to join when prompted to recruit her and her friend.

Recruiting Kuroto: Kuroto is found in Altverden Village, in the southwestern corner of Grum County. Locate the NPC standing in front of the building in the southwestern corner of the village. Kuroto will introduce himself as an expert hunter and ask you to defeat five Wild Boars. Wild Boars can be found in Redthroat Ridge. After defeating five, return to Kuroto to recruit him.

Recruiting Francesca: Francesca is also in Altverden Village, in the southwestern corner of Grum County. Go inside the village and head to the northwestern part of town to trigger a scene introducing Francesca. After the scene, choose the top dialogue option to recruit her.

After recruiting these characters, you can visit Arenside to get a Bamboo Rod from Huang in the southwestern part of town, which unlocks fishing. Report back to the inn in Eltisweiss for a scene, then speak with Ymir to continue the main story.
