Winning the Diradhe Duel: An Unexpected Ally 2

The duel against Diradhe has two phases, and your HP gauge will not recover between them. You must minimize damage taken to avoid failing and needing a rematch.

Phase One: Pay close attention to Diradhe’s statements and use the corresponding command to deal the most damage while minimizing your own. The correct commands are:

• Diradhe’s Comments: "Oh, how I quiver, little Guardian! Frighten me more!" → Use: Attack

Diradhe’s Comments: "No mere Guardian will stand in my way!" → Use: Attack

Diradhe’s Comments: "This is none of your affair, child!" → Use: Counter

Diradhe’s Comments: "Perish!" → Use: Attack

Once you reach the Break part of Diradhe’s gauge and have enough Tension yourself, use it against him to initiate a tussle that ends with both characters on the ground, beginning Phase Two.

Phase Two: You will not recover health from Phase One, so if you have low HP, it is best to retry. The opening salvo of this phase is particularly damaging.

Check Diradhe’s statements and use the commands in the Use column. Note that three statements are the same as Phase One, but the required command is reversed for two of them. It is critical to choose the correct option for the first statement to avoid heavy damage. The correct commands are:

• Diradhe’s Comments: "Loathsome Creature!" → Use: Counter

Diradhe’s Comments: "This is none of your affair, child!" → Use: Attack

Diradhe’s Comments: "No mere Guardian will stand in my way!" → Use: Attack

Diradhe’s Comments: "Perish!" → Use: Counter

Hit the break point for the second time to end the duel. The scene will switch back to Nowa at the Headquarters for a showdown with the Empire.
