Find the Arena in like a dragon ishin as early as Chapter 2 in Mukurogai. Learn about Knockout Matches, Hundred-Man Beatdown, and the Arena Shop.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
The Arena is located on the second floor of Mukurogai. It will not appear on your map until you reach this level.
  2. 2
To reach Mukurogai, you can use the Boatman or the large gate south of the Scarecrow Chateau.
  3. 3
If entering from the Boatman, proceed west past the Mahjong Spot.
  4. 4
Take the stairs to your right, opposite the Arms Dealer.
  5. 5
Continue up both sets of stairs. You will see a door directly in front of you with a group of people sitting nearby. This is the Arena entrance.
  6. 6
Enter the door to find a small room. The back of the room contains your inventory, and a Kiosk allows access to Arena functions.

What You Can Do in the Arena:

Talk to the Arena Receptionist to access four options:

  • Compete: Start an arena challenge, choosing between Knockout Match or Hundred-Man Beatdown.
  • Spend Points: Access the Arena Shop to use your fighting orbs (currency).
  • Opponents: View all defeated enemies, their potential drops, and your win/loss record against them.
  • Rules: Review the specific rules of the Arena.

Knockout Match:

  • Consists of seven tournaments: Baptism by Fire, Proving Grounds, Weapon Savants, Barehanded War, Frenzy of Blades, The Loaded Chamber, and Banquet of Might (the last is initially locked).
  • Each tournament features five matches. Your health carries over between matches, and you cannot heal unless you have specific equipment.
  • Competitors and possible drops are randomized for each tournament.

Hundred-Man Beatdown:

  • Challenge yourself against 100 enemies.
  • Mini-bosses appear at regular intervals to increase difficulty.
  • You can use Swordsman, Gunman, Wild Dancer, and Brawler Styles.

Arena Rewards:

The Arena Shop offers various items for purchase with fighting orbs:

  • Golden Sword (250,000 points)
  • Ebisu’s Eboshi (250,000 points)
  • Alertness Hood (250,000 points)
  • Various rare materials for Smithing, including Silver Hammers.
Tips
  • The Arena can be very difficult early in the game, especially on harder difficulties.
  • Focus on acquiring the Golden Sword, Ebisu’s Eboshi, and Alertness Hood from the Arena Shop as they are valuable rewards.
