Adam the Firstborn Boss Guide

Defeat Adam the Firstborn in v rising. Learn his location in Doctor Blackbrew’s Castle and recommended spells, equipment, and blood types.

Location: Adam the Firstborn is located in Doctor Blackbrew’s Castle, found in the northwest of Gloomrot North. The quickest way to reach the castle is by teleporting to the Gloomrot North Vampiric Waygate, switching to Bat Form, and flying northwest. Before entering, you must craft EMPs to open the castle's inner sanctum.

Crafting EMPs:

1. Obtain the EMP recipe by defeating Voltatia the Power Master.
2. Use the Fabricator to craft Power Cores, requiring 6x Radium Alloy and 3x Charged Battery each.
3. Radium Alloys can be found throughout Gloomrot North; the Trancendum Power Plant is a good source for Depleted Batteries.
4. Charge Depleted Batteries into Charged Batteries using a Lightning Harvester. The best location for a Lightning Harvester is Stormdrain Hills in southwest Gloomrot North. You can charge 10 Depleted Batteries at a time, yielding 10 Charged Batteries, so you'll need 10 Depleted Batteries.
5. Craft EMPs using the required components.

Using EMPs: Place crafted EMPs on your hotbar, select them, and deploy them in front of Doctor Blackbrew’s Castle. Attack the EMP to detonate it, temporarily opening the door. The castle contains no enemies besides Adam.

Starting the Boss Fight: After entering the castle, locate the lever in the room north of Adam's chamber. Ascend the stairs to find and interact with the lever to initiate the boss fight. You can then jump over the railing into the boss arena.

Recommended Spells, Equipment, and Blood Type:

• Blood Type: Ideally, use Brute blood (around 100%) for life leech, movement speed, attack speed, and attack power. Scholar blood (15% chance to reset cooldowns) or Rogue blood (increased critical hits and movement speed) are also good alternatives.
• Equipment:
  • Weapon: The Red Twins (Axes) are recommended for their Frenzy ability, which enhances attack speed. When combined with Blood Rage and Power Surge, this allows for rapid attacks and health leeching. The X-Strike ability on The Red Twins can also leech health. Pistols (for an extra dodge) or Greatswords (for movement speed and i-frames) are other viable options. Prioritize passives with Life Leech and Max Health.
  • Armor: The Grim set is preferred, though the Shadowmoon set is a close second. The choice depends on whether you prioritize Weapon Attack Speed and Weapon Life Leech (Grim) or other stats.
  • Body: Grim Knight Chestguard (+224 Max Health, +4% Weapon Attack Speed, +2% Weapon Skill Life Leech)
  • Gloves: Grim Knight Gloves (+123 Max Health, +54% Weapon Attack Speed, +2% Weapon Skill Life Leech)
  • Legs: Grim Knight Leggings (+187 Max Health, +4% Weapon Attack Speed, +2% Weapon Skill Life Leech)
  • Feet: Grim Knight Boots (+160 Max Health, +4% Weapon Attack Speed, +2% Weapon Skill Life Leech)
  • Amulet: Amulet of the Master Spellweaver (+31.9 Spell Power, +15% Reduced Blood Drain Rate, +10% Spell Cooldown Recovery Rate, +random bonus)
